Tony leveled his gaze to her. "It will be better this way," he said.
The kids scoffed.
"With members of our family in prison if they don't sign away their souls?" Timothy spat. "Hardly."
Tony pointed to the window. "This world needs protection!" he said. "There are threats beyond our understanding!"
"Isn't that why the Avengers were created? To fight those evils?" Jason asked, starting to pace. His gaze didn't look away from Tony's. This was a match of wills between two stubborn men. Tony glared at his grandson. "It didn't work,'' he said.
Jason scoffed. A sarcastic smirk spread across his freckled face. "Oh my God," he said. "It's so simple. You're a coward."
