I woke up the next morning, having checked in on Kris and Mi-Cha the night before. When I walked into the kitchen, they were sitting at the table eating breakfast.
"Tao!" Mi-Cha shouted. She got up and ran towards me, giving me a hug. I picked her up and spun her around, laughing softly.
"Good morning, Mi-Cha. How did you sleep last night? Were you comfy?" I asked, kissing her cheek.
"I slept really, really good! Kris oppa was sad last night... it made me sad. So I went to lay with him. I got a boo-boo this morning but Kris oppa fixed it with his special powers!" Mi-Cha continued to talk about her morning as I set her back in her chair and sat with a cup of coffee.
"Are you ready for your dance lessons today? I'm sure you are. Then we can take you back to Sehun oppa's house. I'm sure he misses you a lot."
"Sehun oppa misses me? I miss him too! I want to see Sehun oppa and Xiumin oppa again."
"Well, you'll see them today after class." Kris cut in with a smile.
"But for now, it's breakfast time. After we eat, it's off to dance class for you, okay, Mi-Cha?" She nodded enthusiastically, looking ready to take on the day.
After breakfast, Kris got Mi-Cha ready as I cleaned the kitchen. I made sure to get changed as well. Today was an off day for us and we wouldn't have to practice. Maybe I could ask Sehun if we can take Mi-Cha for ice cream. That would be really nice, especially Kris being stuck to her like glue. I don't think he wants her to leave just yet.
"Mi-Cha! Kris! Are you guys ready? We have to go before it gets late!" I shout as I get her bag ready for her lessons. I packed a couple of extra snacks for her. What Sehun doesn't know won't hurt him, kekeke.
"Yeah, hold on! We're coming!" Kris came walking into the living room with Mi-Cha in his arms, grinning like a mad man. Yeah, he didn't want her to leave. I shook my head and chuckled.
"Alright, you two. Let's get going. Mi-Cha, I packed extra snack but don't tell Sehun oppa, okay? He will kill me if you do. And you don't want that, do you?" I asked her.
"No, Tao gege! I don't want Sehun to kill you. I promise I won't tell him! Thank you, gege!" She said with a smile. That little girl is a bundle of joy.
"Okay, okay. Let's go then. You have classes to be at, yeah? Come on." I walked out to the car with Kris following behind me. He put Mi-Cha in the back and helped her buckle as I got in the drivers seat and started the car.
"Ready, Mi-Cha?" I asked as Kris sat down and buckled up. She wiggled happily and clapped, giggling.
"Ready, Tao gege!" She exclaimed. I laughed and backed out of our driveway, carefully speeding to get to her classes. Mi-Cha laughed the whole way with the speed, kicking her legs and clapping.
"Are you having fun, Mi-Cha ah?" Kris asked as he looked back at her through the rear view mirror. She nodded and giggled, fixing her ponytail that Kris had put in.
"It's so much fun, Kris gege! Tao oppa drives really, really fast. I love it!" She said, laughing.
"Alright, little munchkin. We're here! Now you be good for your teacher. Call us when you're done, okay? We'll come and pick you up." I reminded her. She was always good but it's the little reminders that help.
"I will, Tao gege. I love you and Kris gege so much! Thank you for taking me to my class." She grabbed her bag and got out with Kris' help.
"We love you too, Mi-Cha!" I shouted as she made her way inside. I grabbed my phone and texted Sehun, telling him we would be taking Mi-Cha out for ice cream. After Kris got in, I drove back home. When we got inside, I went to my room.
"I'm taking a nap!" Kris called after me.
"Way ahead of you!" I called back. I plopped onto my bed, turned on the TV for background noise, and fell asleep.
¤Few hours later¤
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. Must be Mi-Cha. I picked up my phone and answered it.
"Hello?" I asked in a deep voice. Sleep has yet to wear off.
"Tao gege? I'm done with my class and I need to be picked up." Mi-Cha responded.
"Okay, let me wake up Kris gege and we'll come and get you, alright?" I asked. I slowly got up and trudged to Kris' room, banging on his door. "We'll be there really, really soon, okay? Love you, Mi-Cha."
"Okay! Love you too, Tao gege! I'll see you soon!" She exclaimed and hung up. I laughed and shook my head. Always so full of energy, that one.
I washed my face a bit with water to wake up and went to put my shoes on. I grabbed a granola bar from the cabinet and called for Kris again.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." Kris dead panned. He tossed my wallet to me and I caught it. "You left it in my room." He added.
"Thank you." I nodded and put in my pocket. I also put in my phone and grabbed my keys. I got in the car and waited for Kris. As soon as he got in, I drove off.
"Sehun said we can take Mi-Cha out for ice cream when we pick her up. Don't say anything because it's a surprise." Kris nodded his reply as I pulled up to the dance school. Mi-Cha came bounding over, getting in the car.
"Hi, Tao gege and Kris gege!" She exxlaimed, putting her seat belt on. She put her bag down and kicked her feet.
"Ready, kiddo? Let's go!" I said, looking in the rear view mirror as I made my way to the ice cream parlor. On the way, we passed by Sehun and Xiumin's house.
"Tao gege? You passed Sehun oppa's house." She pointed out blatantly. I stayed quiet and kept driving, smiling widely.
"Oh did I? Isn't this Sehun oppa's house?" I asked as we pulled into the ice cream parlor. Her eyes got real wide and she gasped.
"Were having ice cream? Are we really? Can I get everything on it?" She asked, bouncing in her seat. She kept rambling as she got out of the car and inside the parlor.
"You can get whatever you want, sweetie. Okay?" I smiled and rubbed her back, picking her up so she could see all the flavors and toppings. I ordered a simple chocolate ice cream and Kris got strawberry.
"Okay, Mi-Cha. Pick anything you want." Kris told her. She chose cookies and cream ice cream with all the toppings. After we paid, we sat down and started eating.
"Is it good, Mi-Cha?" I asked her. She nodded enthusiastically and kept eating. I washed her face when she finished and we all headed out, driving to Sehun's house.
"I'm gonna tell Sehun oppa!" Mi-Cha screamed as she ran out with her bag, giggling and skipping inside.
Kris and I followed after her, chuckling. As we went in, Sehun had her in his arms as she rambled on about her day and about the ice cream.
"That's great, Mi-Cha. It was really nice of Tao hyung to take you out to ice cream. I'm glad you had fun. Maybe you can stay the night later, okay? But not tonight." Sehun told her. We smiled and nodded to Sehun, waving as we went out to the car.
"Today was a good day." I said. Kris nodded in agreement as he got in the car. I smiled and started the car, driving home for the night.
