I was in the living room speaking with Tao while drinking some bubble tea. I had been there for about 4 hours.
"You know, I think Kris took it pretty hard. There's one thing he hates the most and that's hearing Mi-Cha cry like she did." Tao commented. I nodded and finished my bubble tea.
"He did say that himself. He loves Mi-Cha to death, that's for sure. He would do anything to protect her. he just didn't know, that's all." I replied. I threw away my empty bubble tea cup and washed my hands.
"Well, it's time for me to go. I have to cook dinner tonight at my place. Xiumin must be wondering where we are, anyway. So I'll see you during practice." I got up and bowed to my elder. I looked around and Mi-Cha was gone. Where could she have gone?
"Um, where is Mi-Cha?" I asked. Tao pointed down the hall at Kris' room. I headed that way and knocked softly on the door. I opened the door and peeked in. Kris was asleep and cradling Mi-Cha in his arms. I smiled softly and closed the door.
"So?" Tao questioned.
"They're sleeping together. I'd rather not disturb them. I'll be back in a minute. I'm going to get some stuff for Mi-Cha to spend the night, if that's alright with you." I explained. He smiled and nodded. I grabbed my keys and headed out the front door. I unlocked my car and got in. I sighed and closed my eyes. I smiled and revved up the engine, making my way back home.
"I need to tell Tao that Mi-Cha has gymnastics tomorrow." I noted myself. I pulled in the driveway, turned off my car, and walked in the house. I started looking around for Mi-Cha's bag.
"Xiumin, where is Mi-Cha's overnight bag?" I called out.
"Right here. Why?" he asked. I explained that she was going to spend the night at Kris and Tao's place. I grabbed the bag and went to her room. She had things strewn about in her room, making it more of a mess than the whole house.
"Gotta clean this up sometime, then. She's such a mess." I went around her things on the floor and got to her closet. I swiftly opened it and clicked it open. I grabbed a shirt with a skirt to match and stuffed them in her bag. I grabbed her cellphone and charger along with some flats.
"Xiumin-ah! Do you think Mi-Cha needs anything else?!" I yelled so he could hear me.
"I don't think so!" He replied. I nodded to myself and headed out the door, bidding a goodbye to Xiumin. I unlocked my car and hopped in. I started the engine and revved it up. I backed out of the driveway and sped to Tao's house. I quickly pulled into the driveway and turned the engine off.
"I'm going to get my license revoked if I keep doing that." I joked with myself. I walked up to the door and knocked. Tao opened the door and invited me in. I handed him Mi-Cha's bag.
"Sorry I can't stay. I have to go home and make dinner, if Xiumin hasn't already. I'll see you tomorrow, maybe?"
"Yeah. Tomorrow. Right." He smiled and waved me off as I hopped in my car and drove off. It's going to be so weird without Mi-Cha at home. I checked the time on my phone and it was near 9 at night. I hurried home and pulled in the driveway to find Xiumin on the front steps asleep, waiting for me. I cursed under my breath and quickly turned off the engine.
"I can't believe he waited for me. I saw how hard he worked during practice. He also stayed most of the time with Mi-Cha at the hospital, that babo!" I whisper shouted. I picked him up bridal and made my way inside the house. I carried him to his room and softly placed him on his bed. I yawned and stretched. I headed to my room and changed to some sweatpants and left my shirt off.
"Did Xiumin cook?" I said to myself. I walked to the kitchen and saw a plate of food on the table. There was a note beside it.
'I made dinner and waited for you. I ate already so don't worry about me. I didn't know when you were coming home so I just kind of....... yeah. Well, if I fall asleep, I'll see you in the morning. Sleep well, Sehun-ah.'
I finished reading the note and set it down. He had made some rice and beef for the night. I reheated it in the microwave and sat down, anxious to eat. I took my chopsticks and ate hastily, as if I hadn't eaten in days. I finished eating and tossed my plate in the sink. I grabbed my juice out of the fridge and drank some of it. I slowly walked back to my room and layed in bed. Time to get a good night's sleep.
