"Uh...hi?"
"H-hey?" I stutter out. Wow she's beautiful.
"Sorry, I um...I always come here to clear my," the girl clears her throat,"To uh, clear my mind."
"Same here." I say while looking down at my shoes.
The mystery girl flips her multicolored bangs out of her face,"I could leave?"
"Oh no no!" I exclaim a little too quickly. "I mean, you don't have to. I was just leaving."
"Oh." The mystery girl sounds almost disappointed.
"Yeah, I gotta get back to school anyways. Bye." I say and start heading back to school.
"My name's Asia!" The mystery girl apparently named Asia yells while I was exiting the woods.
I turn around to see her 5 feet away from me.
"America." I say with a light smile.
Her face twists adorably into some type of confusion, "The popular girl?" She finally says with some type of uncertainty in her voice.
"Uh, yeah? You go here?" I ask a bit of astonishment in my voice since I've never seen her around. At least I don't think.
"Yeah, I'm in your Biology class..." She says while flipping her bangs out of her face.
"Oh, I thought you looked a bit familiar." I lied.
"No need to lie, no one notices me. It's okay." Asia smiles adorably before turning around and heading deeper into the woods.
I couldn't help but to notice her black eye and her nose was kind of red. I hope she's okay.
I turn and head back to school. When I go in I head to Study Hall.
When I enter the room about 10 people were there and 1 of those 10 people being Jaylene.
I breathe in and out and take a seat next to her.
Jaylene turns to me and I turn to her.
"Listen I'm so sorry I made you run off like that! I didn't mean to!" She apologizes.
"It's okay, my response was out of line and I should've just said no." I pout.
We both hug each other and students started to flood into the classroom.
I was scrolling through my playlists, contemplating whether I should play Disturbed or go for something upbeat like The Summer Set. When someone I recognized as Dylan approached my table and sat next to me. He was staring at me so hard I squirmed under his gaze.
"Yes?" I asked, sounding as polite as possible.
"How the hell did you get a bruise like that?" He asks with curiosity.
"Does it matter?"
"Yeah, it matters. I just wanna know."
"No you don't."
"Yes I do."
"No the fuck you don't."
"Yes the fuck I do!"
"CAN YOU JUST FUCK OFF!" I yell while slamming my hands on the desk and sending him a harsh glare.
"Excuse me!" Mr. Fulton sneers, "Go back to your seat Dylan. America, lower your voice."
Dylan heads back to his seat while all eyes were on me.
"Yes sir, I apologize." I say while bowing my head.
The day seemed interminable but finally we were let out. I headed outside to wait for my sister after I said bye to Jaylene.
It's been 20 minutes and she hasn't shown up.
30...40...50...1 hour
I curse under my breathe,"Fuck, she really left me here?"
I begin to take the long ass walk from my school to my house.
It took a whole 2 hours to make it home and honestly I'm scared of what my dad might do. I see my sister's SUV in the driveway and I growl.
"I'm dead." I quietly say with a slight shake in my voice.
I slowly insert the key in the slot and unlock it. I turn the handle and open the door.
I don't see my dad. Yes! I take off my shoes and start to head up the stairs when I see him out the corner of my eye.
"Where the hell have you been?" He growls, "You were supposed to be here TWO FUCKING HOURS AGO BITCH!"
I wince at his booming voice,"D-dad, it wasn't my fault. Remi didn't show up in the parking lot!"
"Remi said she didn't see you in the damn parking lot." He takes a menacing step towards me.
"Why are you lying?"
My eyes widen,"No dad! I'm not! Remi is! She..." I was cut short with a punch to the chest.
I slam against the wall and gasp for air while tears sting the back of my eyes.
"Why would you lie?" He asks again, punching me in the stomach.
I double over and cough,"I'm not! She is!"
I regret saying that as he grabs a handful of my hair and pulls me up.
"DON'T LIE TO ME GIRL!" He screams in my face, throwing me on the steps and kicking me too.
"Go upstairs, and go in your room. You better not come out either. No dinner tonight for you either since you wanna lie." He says spitefully before heading into the kitchen to probably get drunk.
I sob quietly while struggling to head up the stairs. I see Remi standing in her doorframe as I crawl into my room in pain. She has a smirk on her face with her arms crossed.
I whimper as I close my door and lock it. I lean on the door and pull my knees up to my chest, groaning in the process.
I start crying silently as my eyes wander to my nightstand. I pull myself up and limp over to it. I sit down on my bed and open the drawer.
Blades
I grab one and take off my pants. I wince at all the cuts and scars that are on my thighs.
"Just two cuts on each thigh," I say shakily, "Just two."
Cut
Cut
Cut
CutI sigh in relief.
More cuts.
I cut my thighs more and more, deeper and deeper.
When I'm finished, my thighs are a bloody mess. I go get bandages and wrap my thighs up.
When I wrap my thighs I curl up on my bed with Jack Skellington sheets.
My vision becomes blurry as I let out a quiet sob. My body hurts so bad.
My eyes begin to feel heavy and I shut them. Crying myself to sleep.
