I woke up the next morning with a banging headache do to my wonderful neighbors. See my sarcasm. I dragged myself out of bed and into my bathroom to brush my teeth and get my day started. I brushed my teeth and washed my face with my natural herb face cleaners. Once I got done I threw my hair up into a messy bun. I heard someone knocking at my door. I walked to the door seeing Ice jumping up and down barking. I opened the door to see Gabby standing there with a Starbucks cup in one hand s bag of food in the other. "Good morning Lei I brought you some food and a drink." She said with a smile on her face. "Good morning Gab and thanks I need some Starbucks and an aspirin. My neighbors suck." I said taking the cup and letting her into the house. Once she walked in she went to the bathroom and brought me back out an aspirin and told me to take it. After taking the aspirin I we walked over to the couch and sat down. "What's wrong with your neighbors" she asked putting Ice into her lap. "They were partying all night long" I said rolling my eye and rubbing my head. "Oh dang did you tell them to stop" she said petting Ice. "Yes but I'm still so tired so what's on the agenda today" I said yawning. "Well since it's Sunday we actually nothing today that we can't do later on in the week" she said scrolling down the phone. "Well good I'm going to sleep in all day and maybe when I get up later on I'll go shopping" I said getting up and walking back to my room. " I'll take Ice for a walk and bring him back just get some sleep" she called after me. "Ok just grab your set of keys from off the rack by the kitchen counter" I yelled back getting in my bed under the covers. Off to bed I go.
*1 1/2 hour later*
I woke up to loud banging on my door. I drug myself out of the bed and walked to my door to see who is banging and why. I opened the door to be faced with my next door neighbor a Carter. "Well hello to you" I said very sarcastic. "hey ma" he said. "My name isn't ma it's Leilani" I said using air quotes." My bad but I honestly came over here to apologize for the noise and everything last night" he told me. "it's coo I'm not really tripping off it but don't let it happen again" I told him jokingly. He laughed and gave me a head nod while walking off. I closed my door and began to walk around looking for Ice. I walked into the kitchen to see a note posted to the refrigerator door from Gabby. It read, "Hey Leilani I just wanted to tell you before you started to panic that I put Ice in the doggy spa he got dirty and needed a grooming so I took him. He should be ready by 5 seeing that there was a lot of pets there today" love Gab. After I read the note I threw it away and checked the time. 2:30pm. I had enough time to go to the mall grab lunch then pick up Ice. I went back into my room and went into the shower to do my hygiene thing. I hopped into the shower and washed up my body and hair. After I finish I went to the sink and brushed my teeth. I went to put on my robe and went to my vanity. I started to blow dry my hair when my phone rang. I looked to see my mommy name flash across the screen. "Hey mommy" I said into the phone." Hey baby I just called to remind you that today is the dinner and I texted you the address and everything you better not be late" she said sternly into the phone brother hanging up. I put the phone down and proceeded with doing my hair. I decided on wand curling my hair. I'm thinking about dying it a different color just to try something different. After I finish with my hair I put on a little bit of make up giving me the natural look. I went to my closet. Since I don't really have time to go to the mall anymore I need to find something more appropriate for this dinner. I decided on this peach bodycon Gucci dress than comes to my lower thighs just a little bit before my knees with my Nude Red Bottom heels. To finish off my outfit I put on my gold necklace my daddy got me for Christmas with some gold studs. I grabbed my clutch that matches the dress, my phone and house keys. I pulled out my car keys since the driver only works on weekdays and Saturday. I hoped in my all white Audi and drove off to go get Ice. Gabby texted me and told me that she took Ice to the spa on the other side of town and would take an hour to get there plus an hour to get back. So by the time I get done with that it should be 4:30 so I would have 30 mins to make it to the dinner.
*1 hour later*
After I got Ice from the spa I was headed back home with my stomach started to growl. I saw a McDonald's and pulled up to the drive thru since I'm in my way to dinner I don't really need anything heavy. I just got a large order of fried that should hold me over.I started to drive to the house where the dinner would be held at. I hope this lady can cook.
*30mins later*
I pulled up in front of this beautiful house. Once I parked my car I got my purse,phone, keys and Ice out of the car. I made sure that Ice had his leash on. I knew my parents were here because I seen my dads Porsche in the driveway along with three other cars. I knocked on the door and this beautiful lady opens the door. "Hello you must be Leilani" she said opening the door wider and letting me in. "Yes that me Hello" I said reaching out to give her and hand shake. "Oh no baby you are like family you get hugs" she laughed while pulling me in for a hug. I laughed and hugged her back. After we pulled away my mommy walked in and gave me a huge hug. "Glad that you made it on time and I see you got Ice with you." she said bending down and picking up Ice. "Awn what a pretty little dog" Mrs.Sheliah said rubbing over Ice. We ladies walked into the kitchen and I seen two other ladies in there. "Oh honey this is my daughter Carmen" Mrs.Sheliah pointed to Carmen who looked at me smiling. "Omg girl I knew you looked familiar last night when I saw you" she exclaimed walking over to me giving me a hug. I laughed and hugged back. "Y'all two already seen each other before now." My mommy asked. "Yeah her brother is my neighbor and Ice got out last night and I had to find him long story short he was in their backyard and they was having a party I guess and she was there." I said. "Well that's wonderful" Mrs.Sheliah smiled. We all started talking and we heard someone clear their throat. We all looked up to see Brookylnn standing there. "Oh yeah dear this is my sons girlfriend Brookylnn"she said dryly and turned back around engaging into our conversation. I gave Brookylnn a small wave and smile. She just turned around and walked off. "Soooo what's for dinner because I don't know about y'all but I'm starving." I said in all seriousness. They all just laughed at me. I gave them all a mug. "Where is my daddy" I asked standing up. "Him and the rest of the men are in the in game room talking and doing what men to best sit on their behinds" my momma said shaking her head. I walked out the kitchen and down the hall admiring their house it's truly beautiful. I stopped at this picture of me,Carmen and Carter. I was in the middle while the both was on the sides of me. We were on the beach sitting in the sand all holding hands. I smiled and was so into my own world I didn't hear anybody come up behind me. "we all were very close you was my best friend. We told each other all our secrets." Carter spoke while running the back of his neck. I turned around and smiled at him "we still are best friends big head" I smiled. He smiled and he lead me to the front porch. I saw a porch swing and ran over to it and started swinging. I might be grown but in the inside I'm still a little kid. Carter just looked at me and laughed shaking his head. "Somethings never change eh." I smiled and laughed, "nope nothing about me have and never will change." He just smiled,"That's great don't change stay you." "So what's been going on since I've been gone" I said siting back and relaxing. "Well let's see my business have been booming like crazy, I own a couple of clubs, youth centers, lodges, dealer ships and theme parks" he said smiling at his accomplishments. "Awn that's amazing I'm so proud of you glad you not out in the streets" I said staring at him. I watched him kind of tense up. That's when I knew all of that was a cover. "Well I do that as well but I'm more so just handing out the orders" he said rubbing his hands together. It got quiet so to break the ice I started speaking,"Well I'm still proud of you." He smiled and laid back relaxing. We sat there in a comfortable silence but he spoke," so what's been going on with you." "Well I don't know if you heard or anything but I am a model, I host parties and events. I own three boutiques, one here ,California and New York. I'm opening one up in Miami in a couple of months. I have a clothing line that's for women our age and for young girls." I said. "Damnnnnn ma I see you get yo grind on" he laughed nudging me. I laughed and nudged him back. We sat outside just talking and catching up. He told me about him and Brookelynn and how he loves her but his family can't stand her. Apparently we all went to school together until I moved and they dated in high school. I told him about how I've been single since I was 15 and that boys wasn't really on my mind. It felt amazing catching up with my best friend. In the mist of us talking my mom walked out and told us it was time for dinner. As we walked in my mom just couldn't stop smiling at us. "Mom you are such a weirdo" I laughed. She just continued to smile. We all stay at the dinning room table. I sat down next to between my mom and Carter. We all held hands and blessed the food. After that I was the first to dig and all I hear is laughing. I look up to see everybody but Brookelynn laughing at me. "Now listen I'm hungry so laugh all y'all want" I said stuffing my face. Once everyone was situated we all chatted amongst each other. "Hi daddy I missed you so much" I said smile. "You couldn't have missed me that much you didn't come speak once you got here" he said trying to have an attitude. I just shook my head laughing,"that wasn't my fault daddy I went to go say hi but I saw Carter in the hallway and we went outside to catch up." "Well I guess I can forgive you this time since you are my little princess." He said smiling at me. I just made my cutest little daddy's girl face ever. "So you was outside with her while I was being disrespected by your mom and sister"Brookelynn said mugging me but talking to Carter. He just shook his head and told her this isn't the place to discuss this. I just continued to eat my wonderful dinner. Once everyone was done we sat around and chatted for a while in the living room. "So Leilani do you have a special man in your life" Sheliah said looking back and forth between me and my mom. Before I could speak my daddy stepped in, "yes she do and that's me and Ice she don't need no other man" he said looking at me. "That's right daddy tell her" I said getting up and hugging my daddy sticking my tongue out at my momma and momma Sheliah. Carmen and her hubby Shaun laughed at me. Ice came and jumped on my lap. I stood up and told everyone it was nice seeing them. Once I gave everyone a hug I left.
I got in my car and drove home. As I was pulling up I seen Carter and Brookelynn pulling up next to me. Once I got out I waked up to my front door and went in the kitchen to feed Ice. After I did that I went upstairs to my bathroom took a nice hot shower stepping out and putting on my robe. I got in bed drifting off into I peaceful sleep. That was until I heard bumping and moaning coming from Cater's house. At least one of us is getting our backs blown out.
