"Would you like a drink miss?" someone from behind her asked. She turned around, startled...to find Adrian holding a glass of punch. "Oh, it was just you...Hey Adrian," she said relieved. "Is everything alright?" he asked. "Everything's fine, isn't the party great?" she said, trying to reassure him. "Yeah, it's sick. Have you seen the DJ?" he said, beaming.

So basically, that's how Amanda spent her evening- listening to Adrian's jokes and walking around the lake behind their house with him. Suddenly, Adrian stopped. He started in a serious tone, which was pretty weird for him,"Mandy...umm...I don't know how to say this, but I've known you for 7 years now. We used to be the bestest of friends, and we still are..." (again with the 'best friends!') "But I want to be more than that. You know you're one of the most prettiest girls I've ever seen?" Amanda's eyes widened. Was she dreaming? "What are you trying to say Adrian?" she asked. "I'm trying to say...will you go out with me?" he asked. Amanda felt like there were fireworks inside of her. She couldn't stop blushing and blurted "yes!" before she could even think twice.

Adrian leaned forward and Amanda pulled his face closer. She closed her eyes and just as they were about to touch, she heard people coming towards them. She broke away from him to find that the people were masked, carrying guns. "What's happening?" Adrian screamed. "Come with us, or Mr. Lover-boy here gets killed," one of the masked men said.

She should've known. Amanda was a fool to give in like this but she had no other choice. Without turning back, she obliged the men and was cuffed."What are you doing? Leave her alone! Don't touch her!" Adrian said as he tried fighting off the men. "Amanda! I can't let you go like this! Who are these people? What do they want?" he screamed as they pulled him to the ground. "Don't try coming after me, you'll only kill yourself!" she told him. "Don't hurt him, it's me you want!" she screamed at the agitators.

"She's right...we should go before anyone sees us. Hustle up!" said the head. Amanda took one last look at Adrian with eyes that said, "I'm sorry" and stepped into the van that drove her far away from Jessica's house, let alone...Seattle.
