Chapter 1

Authors note.

This is my first fan fiction and I'm so excited to start writing.

The shadows grew longer and longer as you stand at the stage waiting for your name to be called. Your feet hurts and you long to sit but today you were going to decide where you wanted to serve. You stand with nine other people with excited but tired eyes.

A man (known as  Commander Erwin) with blond hair and bushy eyebrows came to you first and said " Y/N right? Decide where you want to serve humanity. Quickly. "

You already had your mind set on joining the Survey Corps. You wanted to able to explore the outside world with your eyes only. You have heard of all of the beautiful rivers, fields of flowers, and tall pine trees but have never seen them yourself.

*Salute* " I will be joining the Survey Corps Sir!"  Your voice powerful and demanding. Your E/C eyes stared into Erwin's light blue eyes.

Erwin said " With your skills and intelligence... Well see. Dismissed. "

*Salute* You walked off of the stage and looked at the audience waiting patiently for their turn. Since you were the 1st out of the top ten ,you decided and left first.

The sun was already down and some guards that was on duty lit up the torches. 

On your way to the dorm was a long stretch of darkness. Your boots crunched underneath you. While you were walking to your dorm you accidentally bumped into someone.

Not knowing who or what since it was dark, your instinct took over. You flipped the person towards the ground.

The person grabbed you along with them and you were soon on the ground instead. Someone pinned you down and you couldn't move. Your H/C hair spread onto the ground like a river and the moon, made your hair glisten like dew on a early morning.

You heard a male voice " Who are you and what are you doing here? "

" Get off of me...." Sternly. You tried to lift him off because your arms started to hurt from his grip.

"   Answer me. " His voice was stern.

" C-cadet Y/N s-ir..... I was walking back to my dorm from the recruitment sir." The words barely came out of your mouth, for-there; the grip tighten.

The stars was brightly glowing up in the endless sky but you couldn't make out the person that pinned you down.

" Please release your grip sir. " you said trying to move your arms and legs.

"Tch. Brat. " He gets off and walked off deeper into the darkness.

You got up and rubbed your arms where he held you and dusted off the dirt. Looking at the direction he left, he made his way to the recruitment stage.

Quickly entering your dorm. You lit the candles and looked at your arms. Your arms is a purplish and blue tint of where he held you. You tried to hide it but it was useless.

You took a quick shower and headed to sleep.

No one came knocking on your door. No one came to see you.

You were all alone laying down on your soft mattress.

The window shone in a bright light illuminated the wooden floors.

Thinking to yourself. How you get yourself into this situation?

From outside your room you could hear the soldiers coming back into their dorms.

Your eyes grew heavy and later everything turned into black.

In the middle of the night, you woke up in sweat. Panting as if you just ran a marathon. You sat up immediately and looked around your room. The sun hasn't even come over the wall yet.  Your throat was parched and longed for a drink.

You sighed and got up and headed to the kitchen.  You walked out with your F/C silk pajamas and quietly headed to the kitchen.

As you were grabbing a glass of water, you heard someone step inside the kitchen. Frantically you quickly walked out but heard a thump as you left.

Rushing inside, someone lied down onto the floor.

Quickly swallowing your water, you went over to the person on the floor.

" Hey.. Hey.. " Kneeling down to see who it is. It was one of the Survey Corps leader. Hanji .

"Ughnn... " she groans.

You helped her up onto one of your shoulders and dragged her along. As you were walking her out of the kitchen you heard a similar voice.

"  Cadet Y/N, what are you doing out of your room this late? " You look behind you and it was Commander Erwin.

" I was getting a drink and Squad Leader Hanji came in and fell onto the floor. I was going to assist her to her room sir."

" I'll assist her. You go back to your room. Training starts at early sunrise. Its only a few hours left. " He said and took Hanji from you carrying her bridal style.

You staggered back into your room. Thinking what's going to happen tomorrow. You fell onto your bed and knocked out. Your bruises still pounding from pain.

What will happen at training tomorrow? Why did you wake up in sweat?
