" Ughh." you groan. Opening your eyes to feel warm tears running down your face.
'How long have I been out?' Looking around your room. No one. Silence.
The sun's ray is now an orange tint and the clouds faded into pink.
You used one arm to push yourself upward.
*knock knock*
You look to see Jean standing at the doorway. You turned your face away to wipe the tears.
"Hey. You finally woke up. How are you doing?" he said walking your direction.
" Yeah. I'm doing fine. Where is Captain Levi? Is he alright?" you quickly said.
" Captain Levi is fine. You saved his life. He is at the training grounds. They should be coming back now. But you been out for a week. Do you need anything? " He said as he sat in the chair placed beside your bed.
" I need to go somewhere." You prop yourself to the edge of the bed and hopped off. You felt a bit of a headache and staggered as you walked.
" Y/N! You're still not well yet!" he grabbed your hand.
" Let go...It's okay."
" but-"
"It's fine. I'm fine." You pulled your hand back and left the room. With your white blouse shirt, jeans, and your boots; you walked out into the warm sunset. Breathing in and out knowing that you are still alive.
Levi POV
"25 laps Yeager! You didn't finish your task in time. " he demanded.
" but sir-"
"50?" he interrupted.
Yeager walked off.
"Hey, take it easy on the trainee's Captain. " Hanji said walking up behind Levi patting him on the shoulders.
~~ Time skip...
The sun was already starting to hide behind the Wall. The clouds gave of a pink coral tint that illuminated the world.
Levi looked into the sky. Wondering alone.
' No way Y/N is (nickname). She can't be.. '
Your POV.
The loud noises of carriages filled your ears. The children running and laughing not giving a care in the world. Not worrying about what is going to be on the dinner table.
Every step you took the clicking of the boots mimic the ticking of the clock. Time passing by your tired E/C eyes.
You headed down further into the darkness of the Underground City.
The stench and the memories overwhelmed you. Walking deeper and deeper. Feeling your exact same steps as if you were back. It was like two different worlds in just a second.
You walked for hours through the dark city with no lights.
In front of you appeared the abandon home. Your boots underneath crunched into the rubble. Looking down you see flowers growing around.
You hesitate about walking inside.
One step at a time. Slowly.
You got to the door that led you deeper into the ground. Closed.
As you were going to reach for the knob, you heard a someone stepping onto the rubble.
You quickly turned around to see... Captain Levi?
" Y/N?" he manage to speak out.
"Huh? How do you-" you holding back tears. You gape back your words for it can't be true.
The cool night calmed the atmosphere. Lights flew out of the grass and the stars twinkled in the reflection of the dew.
" How do you know of this place?" he demanded.
" I- I use to come here back in the day. I'll be heading back now. "
You passed by his side but he gripped your hand and said " (Nickname)? "
Your eyes widen and tears came flowing out. Your warm tears dropped onto the cold earth.
He turned your shoulders towards him to see your face.
" No.. It can't be.. I-I found you dead body weeks after I was taken. " he tighten his grip in your hands.
"You were the one? They guy who-"
" The tattoo!" he gently moved your hair behind your ears to reveal a symbol.
" How? All this time. I thought I was going to be alone in this cruel world." His voice wavered.
"What happen to Farlan and Isabel? " You tried not to think of the possibility's of what could had happen.
No answer. It can't be.
Levi slowly wrapped his arms around you. In a close embrace you fell back into a mysterious word called love.
" I thought I lost you." your words trembled as you spoke.
He pulled away from the embrace and touched foreheads " I'm sorry for leaving. Don't leave me anymore brat."
"Promise."
You felt for that moment, one single moment the wind blew gently across the earth leaving a memory to never be forgotten.
