I wake up crying.
Mina rushes into my room.
I sob into her shoulder.
"What's the matter," she asks. She grabs my shoulders and tilts me upright. Our eyes meet and she starts to cry, too.
After I while, I just tell her I had a nightmare. She smiles at me to reassure me that nothing is wrong.Mina isn't going to school today, because she just wants to be prepared for her interview. Before I leave, I go to her room. "Good luck for later," I say.
She smiles at me.
"Ave Atque Vale," she whispers to me.
"Ave Atque Vale," I whisper back.
We both laugh as I turn for the door and leave.School is a bum today, so I zone out for everything. When I arrive home, Mina has already left for her interview.
I get ready to go to the pub.
As u leave the door, I recall my conversation with Mina earlier, in particular, the last words.
Ave Atque Vale.
Hail and Farewell.
