[Chapter One: The Beginning]

[Sasuke's Pov]

Panting I ran as fast as my little cat paws could possibly go. My tail flew along with the wind, wiggling in every direction. I took a quick glance behind me and saw that the big dog that looked to be a rottweiler was still chasing me at a fast speed.

If I don't lose him soon, I may just collapse..

I turned back and saw something that may just be my savior but I wouldn't get my hopes up. It was a small hole in a metal fence. My small and tiny Neko body should be able to fit through if I could just make it there. I narrowed my eyes and watched my destination, picking up speed.

Trying to ignore the beast behind me's growling, snapping, and barking, I veered to my right and towards the fence. As I neared the hole the sound of heavy footsteps of the dog's feet behind me began to pick up speed.

"Oh no you don't damn cat!" It growled. I sqeaked, yes squeaked, as I heard the nipping of it's teeth and a slight pain in my tail. I pulled my tail a little closer to my body and focused on my objective.

I jumped through the hole, scraping my back against the metal. I yelped in pain as I landed on the ground. I crawled farther away from the hole and watched the dog struggle o find a way to get me as I caught my breath.

That's the longest and fastest I have ever ran..

Is that why I feel so light headed? I wondered as my vision turned blurry. I stood up trying to see if I could shake if off but soon fell back down letting darkness consume me.

[Naruto's Pov]

I kissed Kiba's lips once more before exiting his house and starting on the pathway that leads to my house. It was a fairly long walk and much to Kiba's dismay I decided to just walk by myself. I'm sure I could handle it.

I mean it is a quiet-ish town. Nothing really exciting happens nor dangerous. Sure the occasionally robbery but nothing else really.

I let out a small yawn and stretched my arms up in the air. Putting them back down I clutched the straps to my bag. It didn't have much other than a spare coat, a math book, paper, pencils, and a water bottle. We were supposed to study for our Math test in a couple days but instead we ended up just making out on his bed.

That's as far as we go, I mean I'm still a virgin but I just wanna be ready and i'm happy Kiba respects that.

I sighed as I made my way home on the side of a road near a big metal fence. Jumping a little I heard the growls of some dogs near by.

Since when were there dogs around this part of town? I wondered as I continued to walk.

It wasn't until I hear a small thud that I snapped out of my thoughts. I looked around but saw nothing. I shrugged and when to continue on my walk when I heard a small yelp. This time I looked down to see a Raven colored kitten. I almost awed at the sight.

Almost.

What stopped me was the fact that the kitten was covered in blood and lying almost lifeless on the ground. As panic shot through me I bent down and put my hand to... his.... stomach.

I sighed in relief as it moved up and down. I grabbed my bag and took it off my shoulders opening it. I took out my extra coat and wrapped it around the poor little baby before closing it and putting the bag back on my back.

"Let's get you cleaned up little guy." I whispered softly as I rushed home.
