Chapter 5

Today was the day Emma would finally ask Regina what was wrong. She needed to know if she could help Regina or help her through her problems.

The bell rang. It's now the last period of the day. Regina's class period.

Emma sat behind her desk to make changes to her schedule for next week because she won't be working for that week for Henry's surgery.

"Alright class. Settle down." Emma said watching the class take their seats.

Emma went along throughout the class time teaching about the book they started reading. She tried to not make eye contact with the brunette in the back of the class.

At the end of the class, Emma called Regina up to her desk and waited until the rest of her students left.

"Um hi Regina. I noticed some cuts on your arms? Are you okay?" Regina began to stare at Emma and pull her sleeves down more.

"I don't want to talk about it. Bye Miss. Swan." Regina said turning around to leave.

"No! I just wanted to know if you are okay? I'm not going to turn you in or anything. Please?" She said as Regina came slowly back to the desk.

"I did it myself. I was upset that we had to move because my girlfriend dumped me. I had thought I loved her, but apparently she just wanted my money." Regina said tears running down her face.

Emma had an internal battle of getting up and hugging the crying girl or sitting here talking her through it.

She chose to hug her even though she could get fired if she told anyone or someone walked by her open door.

"Regina it's okay Hun. it's okay. You're going to be okay. I'll help you through this. I won't tell anyone, okay?" The brunette just shook her head 'yes' and held Emma closer.

"If it makes you feel any better, my girlfriend is an ass. I'm thinking about dumping her." Emma said trying to get Regina to look at her.

"Really? Why?" Regina said pulling out of the warmth of Emma.

"Well let's just say she doesn't like my kid and he's my pride and joy."

"How can you not like kids! Regina said finally pulling back all the way and laughing a little.

"I have no clue how you cannot like him. He's so cute! Anyways I need to pick him up from his sitters. Do you need a ride home?"

"Umm if you would please. You can pick him up if you need to first because I live like 20 minutes from here. I would walk but it would probably get dark by the time I'm halfway through." Regina said shuttering a little bit.

"It's okay. I'll pick Henry up first and then take you home."

Emma picked up Henry and Regina met him. They were cute together and it made Emma smile brightly. It was time to take Regina home and Emma smiled like she's never done before back at the brunette.

"I'll see you tomorrow Regina. Don't worry about anything, it's all going to be okay I promise. Goodnight." Emma looked at her with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Goodnight Miss. Swan." Regina stared into those beautiful green eyes.

The next day was Saturday and Belle asked for Emma to go with her to an art display that her family would be at. Emma of course said sure that she would have to make plans for Henry. Emma called Mary and she said she's out of town for the next few days with her husband. Emma couldn't believe it because Mary never leaves this town. Anyways, she had to call Belle and say she couldn't go.

Belle said that she would dump Emma if she didn't come tonight. Regina clicked into the blondes mind and she went as fast as she could over to the high end part of town.

An older lady answered the door and Emma guessed it was Regina's mom.

"Um hey I'm looking for Regina." Emma said kicking the unknown dirt on the ground.

"And who are you?" Mrs. Mills said stepping closer to Emma acting like a predator.

"Eh I'm uh Emma Swan." Emma said taking a step back.

"I swear I've heard that name before. Anyways I'll get you Regina. Come in. Have a seat."

When Regina came down the stairs she was dressed in short shorts that made Emma's mouth water.

"Hey Regina. I remember you mentioning that you used to babysit well I was wondering if you want another babysitting job?" Emma said with a hopeful grin.

"Um yeah sure. I'll do it when would you need me to start?"

"Ummm tonight? At 6:00 please?"

"Yeah no problem. Um can I have your address and I'll be there at 5:50." Regina said happily.

Emma gave her the address and now she could call Belle and tell her she could come. This was all working out now. Emma smiled and thanked her bunches as she left and prepared for tonight. What was she going to wear?!
