"I'm fine." Emma said.

"Your eyes and knuckles say something different." Just then Emma looked down and saw blood stains on her blouse and inspected the fresh wounds.

"I'm fine. Just walk away like you didn't see anything." Emma started to roll the window back up.

"Wait!" Emma paused.

"What. I have to pick up my kid so please hurry up."

"I have a few band aids in my bag if you want them. I have some peroxide to clean it too?" Emma smiled but it just brought back memories of when she fell off her bike and her foster dad threw a bottle of peroxide at her fresh wound and yelled "fucking learn how to ride better!" and walked off.

Regina was now handing her four band aids. Emma pushed them away. "No I said I'm fine. I will see you in class, alright? Don't forget about the paper." Just then when Regina reached to put the band aids back Emma saw a cut on Regina's wrist. Emma didn't speak, but she saw it.

Without Regina knowing anything, Emma rolled the window up and drove away to pick up her son.

"Hey baby boy!" Emma said walking towards her running son.

"H-ai!" Henry tried.

"Say h-i Henry."

"H-i hunray" Henry tried again. They still need to work on his main words a little. He hasn't been to his speech therapist in a few days. Henry gets a little sloppy with his words if he isn't practicing every day.

"Close enough! How was daycare honey?" Emma said and Henry just giggled. Emma signed him out and they were free to go.

Emma drove to the therapists to drop a giggling Henry off, then Emma was going to go back home to read some papers. They have a small house, but Emma could afford the bills just leaving them with a few dollars extra for food. Henry is one lucky boy and Emma is just as lucky because when he was born Emma signed him up for a help fund for his medical bills to come. There was a sponsor that sought Emma out and paid for the medical bills in full. Emma never had to worry. She prayed on all of her lucky stars that day. Just thinking about where she would have been if no one helped her made her shiver.

Emma was halfway into reading her papers when she saw a particular name in the stack. Regina Mills. Emma thought for a moment and she didn't remember seeing her put the paper on her desk. Then again, Emma was always day dreaming. Emma shrugged and read it.

Dear Miss. Swan,
I hate writing these kinds of things. My name is Regina Mills and I'm from Puerto Rico and I just moved here with my family. My mom moved us because of the new job offer she got here in Storybrooke at the new layer firm down the street from this very school. Anyways, I'm not too thrilled. I loved Puerto Rico and my dad just passed away two weeks ago from a heart attack. I was just getting over that when the news of the move came.

I am in love with horses and I love to ride them ever since I was a little girl. My dad taught me how to ride. I have a sister. She's a jerk but she's still blood. I have no clue where she is but she's older by two years. I come from a wealthy family but yet a family who hates each other. I spend most of my time in my room or outside in my treehouse. I love nature and I have always loved being outdoors. I also love children. (This caught Emma's eye) I used to babysit my best friends' sisters but then I moved. I love English and history. I'm a total geek and nerd. I do not have many friends and I do not want to have many friends. I guess I hate guys, also. Yes, I am a lesbian. Anyways, I hope this was enough so I don't get a bad grade. I hope this year is a good one.

Regina Mills

"Wow," Emma said out loud. She looked over at the time and jumped up. It was 7:14 and she was suppose to get Henry at 7:00 sharp. She ran to her bug and drove as fast as she could to get there. She saw Henry and his therapist outside. She gave a quick apology mouthing 'sorry' to his teacher as Henry ran towards the car. Emma got out and carefully pulled him up to her chest.

"How was speech baby?"

Henry smiled bright, "Fun mama." Henry actually spoke correctly and Emma smiled so bright.

"That's awesome! Say 'mama' again." Emma grinned when she buckled him into his car seat.

When they got home, she gave Henry a bath and he went right to sleep. Usually he does go to sleep right after speech because he's all worn out. Emma finally had some alone time. She thought about texting Belle, but all she could think about was if Regina was okay and if she had trouble at home with her family. She thought about the cuts on her arm. Did her family do that too her? Or did she self harm? What happened to make her do that? Was it her fathers death? Emma continued thinking until it got the best of her and she got a quick shower and went to bed thinking about what the next day would bring to her English classes and a particular brunette that was not her girlfriend.
