I'm Layla. I'm friends with Candy. Friends is a strong word. Its more like I'm her shadow. But that's all everyone ever saw me as- Candy's friend. We had another friend, Heather, we fought like cats and dogs over her. When she left for Ohio, it was just me and Candy. But then she met Hannah, they shut me out but wouldn't let me leave. When I did she would yell at me.
I don't know why I stayed for so long. But one day I drifted towards to girls in my grade I hadn't met before. Cam and Ash.
They listened to me vent and helped me stand up to Candy. When they asked me to play with them I didn't know what to expect. They were into RPG when all Candy and I had played were horse games. But we formed a strong bond in the fifth grade. And that's where we are now, the hell hole called middle school.
