Helena's POV:

Flashback:

"Are you as excited as high school as I am Hellz?" asked my twin Gerard. I put on a fake smile and nodded. "Can't wait!"

That was a year ago. Now, I am partially through my sophomore year, and the bullying had just gotten worse. Unfortunately, so had my drinking and cutting. I am only fifteen, and in already addicted to booze and cutting. I woke up to my alarm blaring 'Renegade' by an old rock band called Styx. I turned my alarm off and grabbed my iPod and speaker. I trudged to the bathroom, pugged in my iPod, and chose a playlist. I locked the bathroom door, stripped, then got into my shower. Fifteen minutes later, I was hairless on my kegs and pits, and my skin and hair was squeaky clean. I wrapped a towel around my hair and another around my body. I then walked to my room to get ready. I dried off and picked out my outfit ( on top) which was a lace long sleeve, a long black tank top, strapless push up bra, black leggings, black underwear, and my dirty black high top converse. I then worked to fix my dyed black and blood red hair ( on top). I did my usual hair routine, which meant moisturizing spray, straightening, and teasing. I got it perfect and grabbed my school bag and headed to the kitchen. I nodded a hello at my family and ate a small breakfast of half a slice of bread. I looked at the clock, and gasped. "Come on Gee! The bus will be here in three minutes!" He jumped up, shoving his shoes on and grabbing his bag, and we sped to the bus stop. We arrived just in time. "Hey guys" said Frank, our neighbor and life long friend. "Hey" I said, panting. He chuckled and smacked my back. "Ow!" I complained and slugged him in the shoulder. "Holy shit dude! Your strong!" "Are you gonna snack me again?" "No" "Good" The bus came and we got on. Frank sat next to Gee, and I sat alone. Until the next stop when my bullies got on. Thankfully, Gee and Frank's friend Ray moved to sit next to me. I didn't know him that well, but I was glad he sat next to me. "Thanks Ray" "For what?" "Sitting next to me so one of my bullies didn't." "Anytime" The rest of the ride to hell was silent. Once I got to school, I went to first period, which for me was biology. I have to wait until the end of the day to see my brother and his friends in class, and that class is P.E. Soon, it was the middle of fourth period, and I almost dozed off in history. Then it was lunch at last. I went to my locker and grabbed a book. I went to the lunch room and sat in a corner and read. I don't really have any friends, so I'm normally alone. But I felt eyes on me, so I looked up to see Gerard beckoning me to him. I sighed, stood up and walked to him. ""Why were you sitting all alone?" "Because I don't really have any friends." "But you have me and Frank and Ray." "Not really but whatever floats your boat." "Sit with us?" "Do I get a choice?" "No" So I sat down next to my brother and read my book. I noticed someone next to me, so I looked up. It was Frank. "Hey" "Hi" I went back to my book, but not before long, I was interrupted by my stomach growling. "Are you hungry?" "No" "Don't lie to me" "But I'm not, I swear!" But he didn't listen. He had ramen for lunch ( lucky bitch) so he gave me his spoon and tried to get me to eat, but I refused. The bastard ended up successfully feeding us both the ramen. "Dude, why would you share your lunch with me?" "Because you were hungry and didn't bring food." "I didn't bring food because I'm fat and shouldn't eat." "That's a lie." "No its not" He grabbed me by the arm ( my left one, the one with the cuts on it) and dragged me to the other side of the cafeteria. I winced when he let go. "Are you ok? You don't seem as happy as you used to be." I gave a sigh of relief in my head. "I'm good, thanks for asking me though." "No your not. I saw you wince when I grabbed your arm." My eyes widened in shock. I sighed as slowly pulled up my sleeve. He gasped and pulled me into a hug. I froze, and pulled down my sleeve when he let go. "Promise me that if you cut, you won't go too deep?" I nodded. We walked back to the lunch table where Gee gave me a what-happened-over-there? look while I gave him the I'll-explain-it-later one. He nodded and finished his lunch of chicken salad. Lunch ended, and we all headed to our separate classes. It finally was the end of the day, and it was time to change for P.E. I quickly pulled on my sweats and a Nike long sleeve, heading out of the changing room. I walked over to Gerard, Frank, and Ray. I guess Gerard thought the time for explaining was now. It was kinda perfect timing because we were doing the mile, and Mr. Parker doesn't pay close attention to people like us who are slower. When we began the mile, I was basically getting interrogated. "What were you doing with Frank in the corner if the cafeteria?" "Talking." "About?" "He asked me if I was okay because apparently I'm not as happy as I used to be. I said yes and he said I wasn't. He noticed I had winced when he grabbed my arm." Then I pulled up my sleeve again. "Why?" Was all that came out of Gee's mouth. "I... People bully me here." "And you didn't tell me? Or any of us?" "I didn't want you to worry." "Hellz, I'm your twin. Your pain is mine. Your fight is my fight. Your struggles are-" "Gee, do you KNOW how cliche you sound right now?" "Yeah, but it's true. You don't have to go through anything alone anymore, understand?" "Fine. But please don't tell mom and dad. They'll have a heart attack."
