Wild One

With tumulous hair

liked to waves of the dark forboding sea

her eyes doth stare out,

then turn to look at me

Peircing and wild

Distant as the moon

I cannot to dare to touch this unearthly child

She is young and full

of a life I cannot hold

as endearing as painful

She races in the feilds with head high

her legs long and nimble

her arms grabbing the sky

Yet she can be calm reflective and serene

with a troubled brow and sweep of her hand

the curls softly tousle like a sleepy stream

I long to capture her close

to lock her away

yet I cannot

Wild she will stay.
