As soon as breakfast is over, Magalona told the girls she would drive out to headquarters. “I’ll be back by lunch,” she added before exiting the mansion.

“Bring us back something nice,” Malaska requested with a teasing smile.

“Not if you keep teasing me to Leprechaun,” Magalona countered jokingly.

“Forgive me,” Malaska said.

Magalona drove on Santa Monica Boulevard and soon turned into Vine Street and momentarily came into view of Hollywood High School. A few more minutes later, she turned into the driveway of the five-story building. After parking her car at the basement parking, she took the stairs up to the main floor and was immediately greeted by the head receptionist.

“Good morning, Miss Maslow,” the kindly receptionist greeted.

“Why, hello, Cindy,” Magalona greeted back. “It’s like ages since we last met.”

Cindy Corleto, a woman in her late twenties, smiled. “Shall I call Ma’am Malona down?”

“No,” Magalona answered. “Tell her I’ll be at the rooftop, okay?”

“Will do,” Cindy replied. She began working on the switchboard while Magalona went in one of the elevators to go up the fifth floor.

While Magalona is spending her time inside the headquarters, the boys are given an hour for practicing their next song. Kendall stepped out and went to the telephone.

“I wonder how I can earn money fast,” he told himself.

“Why don’t you get a job?”

The sudden voice made Kendall jump before he picked up the handset. “Logan?” he stated upon seeing his friend. “What are you doing here?”

“Moral support, I guess,” Logan answered. “Get a job that pays highly and is in desperate need of an employee.”

“Like what?”

“I don’t know,” Logan said, “A watchman?”

“But I can’t juggle two jobs at once,” Kendall reminded his friend. “I need a job that only needs me for the night.”

“A night watchman,” Logan quickly proposed. “I just happened to know that the Twin Palms Mall is in desperate need of a watchman because they fired the other man recently.”

Kendall asked, overjoyed, “Really?” Kendall was excited. “Where is Twin Palms Mall?”

“Some distance from here is all I know about it,” Logan answered regretfully.

“Well, I’ll go to it,” Kendall said with determination.

After their session with Gustavo, they went home at night. Magalona also arrived a few hours earlier. The girls were just eating dinner when the boys entered.

Malaska stood up and asked them, “Have you eaten?”

“We grabbed some sandwiches en route,” Logan answered. “But I’d certainly appreciate an extra place for me at the dining table.”
