A/N: It's been a week since I last updated. Anyway, here's Chapter 10! =)

A few hours later, Patricia dived back into the subject of Leprechaun not writing back to Magalona. She added, “Maybe he still has better things to do than meddle with your life.”

“I bet he has,” Magalona sarcastically mumbled. “But if he did, why did he have to tease me in the first place?”

Patricia shrugged her shoulders and said, “Who knows? Maybe he knew you have a real live American boy band member as your boyfriend.”

“Are you done?” Magalona asked.

“No, wait,” Patricia said, “maybe he also thinks you’re kind of not worth it to give attention to.”

That set Magalona off and she exclaimed, “At least my boyfriend doesn’t flirt around with girls because of staying out late all night unlike yours who is always going home in the morning with no one knowing what his business is!”

“I’m sorry.”

“No, Patricia, I am sorry,” Magalona went on, “I knew you were sometimes obnoxious and ignorant but I didn’t know you were this stupid to let your boyfriend make out with other girls behind your back!”

“I can’t believe you just said that,” Patricia started saying angrily. She suddenly turned calm and pondered over Magalona’s outburst. With her head down, she said, “But I accept it, and if he does do it I’ll wait him out tonight whether I get my sleep or not.”

“That’s just the thing you should do,” Magalona told her while pointing a finger at her.

“You bet I would,” Patricia determined.

After lights out, Patricia took her position on the living room couch and waited until James went home. Unfortunately, she was very tired from her journey and she accidentally fell asleep.

Just the same, James went home with Lucy but seeing Patricia, he hurriedly asked her to leave but Patricia had no idea of this. The next morning came and Patricia felt angry at herself for failing her goal.

“How was your evening?” Magalona asked upon seeing the girl eating alone, depressed.

“Not good,” Patricia answered. “I fell asleep and didn’t even wake up until this morning after the boys left.”

“I’m sure there are other times,” Magalona encouragingly said. “Trust me, you’ll prove that James is cheating on you.”

“Everyone’s innocent until proven cheat-y,” Patricia stated. “Please don’t use the words ‘cheating on’ because I don’t feel comfortable hearing it with James’s name.”

“Okay,” Magalona agreed.

The two girls waited for Franchessca and Malaska before finishing breakfast.

“Good morning,” Malaska greeted jubilantly. “I’m ready for another day of Beverly High!”

“I know perfectly why,” Magalona sarcastically said. “But please Malaska, you might as well tell Carlos all about it.”

“Nu-uh,” Malaska stated, “he doesn’t care about my personal affairs anymore."

Magalona asked, “What do you mean?”

Everyone practically dropped their spoons upon hearing this. “Did you, uh, how should I say this?” Patricia slowly stated in decrescendo.

“Oh, don’t worry about me,” Malaska playfully said, although her listeners were aghast and skeptical that Malaska would be alright and she has no problems. “I’ll be fine, I swear!”
