Stormy and I walked along the dirtied path near my house. I knew Matthew wanted me back soon, especially with all these animal attacks. I kept Stormy by my side, grasping her leash and she stopped walking for a moment, looking through the woods. I stopped too and looked. "What is it?" I whispered, looking around.

She barked a certain spot, dark enough for my eyes not to adjusted. Stormy then stopped and whimpered in fear when we both saw a pair of bright glowing neon scarlet eyes staring at us.

Panic set in and I quickly picked up Stormy. She kept barking to scare it off, but a low growl came out of the darkness and I raced back home. Storm barked till we got home and I set her down, locking all the doors and shutting the windows. She then stayed quiet, heading upstairs to where Matthew might be.

"Dad! Dad!" I cried out, running up the stairs.

I opened his study room door and he was sitting at his desk with his reading glasses on. He looked up at him when he heard the fright in by voice. "What? What is it, Lydia? He asked worryingly and walked over to me, checking to see if I was alright.

"I-I saw eyes, red b-big something-Stormy barking!" I choked, hot tears stinging my cheeks. "Shh, it's okay." He said in a soothing voice and pulled me into a hug. I sobbed shakily on his chest and held him close.

I squeezed my eyes shut to keep away by bad thoughts I had and when I opened them again, Matthew was setting me down on my bed, covering me up. I wiped my wet cheek, wondering how he picked me up without me feeling him, and sat up to control my breathing. "Lay down, Lydia. We'll talk tomorrow about what you saw before you head to school." He said calmly, laying me down.

He stroked my hair and kissed the top of my head. I curled up, holding him and my blanket, and somehow I managed to sleep.

"Are you alright?" A man asked, squinting against the sunlight, the suddenly freezes. "What's your name?" His voice sounds strange. Hollow. I hugged myself tightly. "I don't know. I can't--I can't remember anything." To my horror, I feel tears start to fill my eyes. "Hey, it's okay," He said soothingly. "I think I can help." Slowly, he reached into his pocket and slips out a photo a little. As he held it, I noticed he's trembling. "They never found you," He whispers, as his eyes widened. I found myself standing in the middle of a pack of wolves, snarling and growling, as if I was one of them. The man approached carefully and slowly. A look of submissions on his face. I was tired and hungry, I couldn't rub for much longer, I can't survive out here. "Please-" I mutter breathlessly. "Help me." His frown deepens and I lowers deeper into the fur of the wolves, snarling loudly, teeth bared. I collapsed on the ground and passed out from both exhausted and fear.

I woke up, my head throbbing in pain. I sat up slowly and felt a warm presence near my legs and looked at the end of my bed to see Stormy laying there. "I'm okay, Storm." I whispered to her and strand her head gently.

"Just a nightmare.." I whispered again, yet more to myself.

She moved closer to me and I smiled, looking out my bedside window. The sun was slowly raising with the mixture colors of pink, orange, purple, and blue plastered on the sky. I pulled the sheets back from me and stood up, heading to the bathroom.

15 minutes passed and I was standing in front of my mirror, brushing my strawberry blond hair back into a loose ponytail. I'm about to take my daily morning jog and I also wanted to see what I saw last night to be true or lack of sleep. I placed my headphones on and my phone in my pocket, as I walked downstairs and headed out.

I started off with a steady walk. A warm chilly breeze came through, reminding me fall is here. I smiled a little, liking the fall. Especially with the colorful leaves now changing. I picked up my pace when I reached over to my jogging trail and jogged over for 30 minutes, still enough time to head back home and get ready for my bus.

My breathing was heavy and I looked around the woods, listening close for anything unusual. Only the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling.

My head spin by the view, yet then landed to a blue eyed boy. I froze, looking at the boy who was a few feet away from me and was smirking. Why is he smirking? "H-hi..?" I stuttered out, swallowing deeply.

"What are you doing here, Lyd? It's not safe." He said, almost in a orderly way and I stared at him.

I didn't know what to do or says. Run away or ask him how he knows my name. "Um.., I'll go." "Good choice." I looked away and walked passed him since he was blocking my path.

A familiar scent of morning dew and coffee beans went by him. I glanced back at the mysterious boy who was smiling at me, silently shooing me to keep moving. I bit my bottom lip, curious, yet shrugged it off and jogged away.
