Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Friends and/or Someone-Who-is-Really-Obsessed-With-TNT

                 Art looked up at the people on top of the force field. How did they even get up there? Duncan resolved to ask them after he let them in. Why was he letting them in again? He asked Art, who was looking at the people in some confusion. "I think I know them... From before you found me..." She shuddered. "Don't want to think about that, makes my head hurt." "I can give you a lobotomy if you want, Art" Duncan was confused when she rolled her eyes, it would help with her headache...probably. Art continued, not giving him an answer on his proposition. "See the one who's trying to break the force field with TNT? I think her name is Jen. And the one who is hopelessly trying to revive the guy with the emo hair? That ones Jo and her boyfriend... um... Ty. Yeah, that's right. The one standing next to Jen is Jason... I think. They're together." Duncan took all this in, looking at each of them in turn.

                        They were definitely in need of help, Ty was bleeding all over the force field, a large arrow wound in his side and Jo was desperately trying to make him regain consciousness. Duncan noted with some amusement that the one called Jen was increasingly angry at the fact that the TNT was doing nothing to the force field. "I should turn the force field off..." he muttered as he flew down to the force field controls. He remembered Sjin, they would be able to take care of him if his dirty face came anywhere near them. He switched the force field off and hurried to help Art catch the falling people.

                   Jo screamed when she fell. "TTTTTYYYYYYYYY!!!!" Duncan caught her and Ty, grunting under their combined weight. He started to descend quickly, then placed Ty on the ground. He checked on Art who was also depositing Jen and Jason on the ground. Jen seemed to have passed out. Art rushed over and pulled Jo away from Ty so that Duncan could check the extent of his wounds. Other than the arrow wound, which he staunched with part of his labcoat, Ty had a broken arm. "Um, Art, can you splint this?" Duncan looked at Jo, who was desperately trying to get to Ty. "Don't hurt him!" Duncan rolled his eyes as Art picked her up roughly and set her by Jason, who was splashing a small amount of water on Jen's face. She spluttered and sat up, looking at her surroundings. Duncan stood up to greet them once Art had started to make a splint for Ty's arm. "Welcome to my castle." He bowed for effect.
