The feast had just ended and the four Gryffindors were sitting in a corner talking and watching as the first years looked around in awe. Jamie rolled her eyes at Hermione and Ron's bickering. Those to obviously like eachother why cant they just admit it?, Jamie thought to herself. Harry sat staring at his feet fiddling with his wand not paying any attention to his surroundings. Jamie turned to Harry and noticed him fiddling with his wand knowing he was stressed. She nudged his shoulder causing him to turned to her smiling weakly.
"Hey Harry can I talk to you... Alone" Jamie asked staring worriedly at Harry as he nodded. The two stood up and walked off to a separate empty corner.
"What the bloody hell is going on with you Harry?" asked Jamie with a serious tone that she only used when she was truly worried and unwilling to take anything less than the truth. Harry rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"Nothing is going on." stated Harry.
"Why can't you tell me what the bloody hell is wrong?!" whisper yelled Jamie furiously.
"Why does it matter? You never tell me what's going on when I know you're depressed!" stated Harry a little to angrily. Jamie looked down at her feet and Harry realised his mistake.
"Look can we talk about this tomorrow? I am really tired and I just wanna go to sleep." stated Harry hoping that Jamie would agree and would forgive him.
"Fine, But i'm not letting you forget the promise." said Jamie sternly as Harry nodded. Harry turned around and headed up to bed hoping that Jamie would just forget. Jamie watched as Harry walked up to the boys dormitory and when he was out of sight she looked back at her feet. She stood for a few minutes and wiped a single tear from her eyes before turning to go back and talk to hermione and ron.
Harry stepped into the boys dormitory and opened his trunk pulling out a pair of gryffindor themed pajamas. He sighed as a picture of him, Jamie, Ron, and Hermione smiling fell from a pocket on his pajamas. He kneeled down and picked it remembering that first year they had met as he smiled. It was like it was only yesterday when Harry had met Jamie, Ron, and Hermione. He remembered every moment of that very day.
Flashback
Harry and Ron looked around at the varying array of candies in awe. A posh british accent interrupted the children's awe. The two boys looked up to see a pale girl with green hair cut into a more boyish style.
"Excuse me, would you mind if I sat with you? All of the other compartments are full." uttered the girl. Harry looked to Ron who shrugged his shoulders as he shoved another chocolate frog into his mouth. Harry turned back to the pale girl and nodded. She smiled and sat down on Harry's side but still close to the door.
"Um...So what's your name?" questioned Harry as the compartment fell silent apart from the sound of scabbers' Ron's pet rat shuffling through empty packages of candy.
"Jamie. Jamie King... What's yours?" answered the green haired girl.
"Harry Potter, and uh this is Ron Weasley." Answered raven haired boy gesturing towards his redheaded friend who had stuffed another chocolate frog into his mouth. Jamie nodded quickly and rummaged through her pocket to find it empty. her face went red with anger as her hand popped up empty.
"God damn it!" huffed Jamie as she leaned back into her seat. Harry and Ron looked at her with curious eyes.
"Uh, may I ask what you were looking for?" questioned Ron shoving a jelly bean into his mouth.
"My blasted camera was taken by my blasted bratty spoiled rotten muggle sisters!" huffed Jamie angrily glaring out of the window. Ronald opened his mouth to respond but before a single word was heard a bushy haired girl walked in.
