Chapter::7
After geography, Niall was waiting for me by my locker. I was still dazed by what Calum told me. Niall must have noticed.
"Hey, you alright?" He asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, it's just what had happened in geography."
"What happened?"
When I was about to respond I felt someone tap on my shoulder. I turned and saw Nathan.
"Hey Nathan what's up?"
"Can I talk to you about something?"
"Of course go ahead."
"Hey Ni, can I talk to her real quick?It's about a project that needs to be done."
"Fine."
Nathan took me away from Niall into a different part of the hall.
"What's going on Nathan?"
"You can't tell Niall what Calum told you."
"What? Why?"
"Because I don't want you or Niall to get hurt."
"H-how do you know that Niall or I will get hurt?"
"It's happened before. Listen I'll tell you later, but right now we need to act like we are making plans, because Niall is coming over here... So we can meet up after school, right?"
"U-uh yeah sounds great" I played along and put a fake smile on my face.
"Did you guys make arrangements yet?" Niall asked impatiently.
"Yeah we're all set. Let's get to class we're going to be late. Bye Nathan see you later." I waved to him and went the opposite direction.
"So what's your project about?" Shit. What am I supposed to say?
"Oh, it's um, it's just for geography." I lied. I feel so bad for lying to Niall.
We finally reached our class which was reading. I sat next to Niall hoping I can sit here this time.
"Ummm, excuse me but you have to get your ass out of my seat." It was a perky brunette that said that to me.
"Woah now Melissa. You don't have to talk to my friend like that."
"Sorry Ni." She said with an innocent smile.
"Come on Lizzie, we can move to the back."
"Aww but Ni I wanted to sit by you today."
"Sorry Melissa." We walked to the back and sat down. Melissa gave me a really dirty look and mouthed "You slut".
Just to get her mad, I put my head on Niall's shoulder and moved my chair closer to him. Niall reacted by resting his head on mine. He doesn't know why I'm doing this. Just like I thought, Melissa got mad and turned away from us. Once she did I took my head off of Niall's shoulder. Not that I wanted too. I just felt like I shouldn't use him like that.
"You know I could have told her something." Niall whispered to me. My cheeks turned red. How did he know?
"You knew what I was doing?"
"Yeah. I also saw what she said, and I'm going to tell her off after class."
"Niall please don't. If I ignore her she will leave me alone."
"No Lizzie, you're new here and she's being rude."
"But Ni-"
"Lizzie, I know we just met but I would do anything and everything to make you feel safe and happy. So I'm going to tell Melissa that she can fuck off."
