"It started when you moved here." Nathan said with a sigh. I nodded for him to continue.
"Well actually the very first time you moved here." He looked down.
"Wait. What do you mean the very first time? I moved here last week." I was confused.
"Lizzie. I don't like being the one to tell you this but... a long time ago you lived here in Ireland. You, Niall, James and I were really close..." Nathan trailed off. He took a deep breath before continuing.
"There was an accident, that resulted into you having amnesia."
"H-how old was I when this happened?" I blurted out.
"We were all 7 when this happened. And James really liked you, he talked about you all the time. Then one day, we were all in our old treehouse and he told you. You didn't react the way he wanted you to. So he got really upset and was backing you up to the wall where the door was. When you reached the entrance, you lost your balance and fell out of the treehouse," Nathan looked at me to see if I was still paying attention which I was of course I was.
"James didn't care though. He said, "If she doesn't love me then why should I help her?" Niall and I helped you back to your house and told your mum. You were rushed to the hospital and the doctors diagnosed you with post-traumatic amnesia. Have you ever tried to remember anything before you were 8 years old?"
"Oh my god, I-I can't. Why didn't my mom tell me this before?" I looked at Nathan with tears in my eyes.
"I don't know and I'm sorry but that's not the issue here. James and his gang are planning to sell you to their "boss" as a-uh umm, theywanttosellyouasasexslave." Nathan had his eyes tightly shut when he said the last part and opened one eye to look at me.
"Ok Nathan you have to say that a little bit slower."
"They want to sell you as a sex slave to their boss."
"What? What about my parents?"
"They want to sell your mum as well and maybe kill your stepdad. James says that he does not want any happiness for you. I'm so sorry Lizzie. James is so stupid he needs to forget the past and I want to help you get through this. But I'm weak and vulnerable I'm sorry." Nathan was crying now.
"Hey, hey don't cry Nathan you've helped me more then you could think. You just helped me get information that will help me be cautious of those boys. I will need you by my side at school. I know you will protect me. Thank you Nathan so much." I hugged him and didn't let go for a bit. He finally calmed down and looks at me with red puffy eyes. He looks at my lips then my eyes and starts leaning in. I lean in too. We were centimeters apart until the door opened. Mom and Collin walk in and... Niall is trailing behind them. They were all talking and laughing until they noticed Nathan and I. Niall's smile drops in an instant. But mom and Colin kept their smiles and greeted him.
"Hello Nathan how are you?"
"I am well thank you how are you?"
"Oh just fine thank you. Will you be joining us for dinner?"
"Oh um I should really be going now my mum might have dinner ready." He said frantically. Niall steps in front of Nathan.
"No she doesn't. She's out and Lizzie's parents invited me for dinner and it seems as though they are inviting you too so don't be rude." Niall said sternly. I was fuming. Why would mom and Colin invite him? Oh right they don't know what's happening. Nathan looks terrified. He knows Niall and James had this planned.
"Hey Lizzie can I talk to Nathan in your room please?" Niall asked.
"Sure." I said through gritted teeth. I am not going to leave Nathan alone with Niall right now. I walk them to my room and I sit on my bed.
"Um can I talk to him alone?" Niall asked annoyingly.
"Oh come on secrets don't make friends Niall." I smiled at him innocently.
"Well this conversation doesn't concern you-"
"Oh but I think it does Niall. I really think it does." I lift myself from my bed and walk to him. "Whatever the hell is happening or whatever is going to happen, you will regret your entire existence. Now why are you really here?"
"To help you, Nathan and your family."
