This is the place I come to for peace and quiet. I really enjoy the tranquility of the beach during early morning hours. I pulled my long, reddish-brown hair out of the top knot on my head and let it flow around my shoulders.
Coming to the beach is something I do when I really want to write. The sound of the waves lightly slapping the sand soothes me, and just helps my creative juices flow.
Sitting down with my towel on the sand, I adjusted the bikini underneath my sundress. The sun was starting to peek through the clouds, so I put my sunglasses on to sheild my green eyes. There was a beautiful red and orangle glow in the sky.
I began softly humming to myself and writing in my little journal. This journal is what keeps me sane most days, I mean seriously. After writing for a little while--I can't imagine how long because sometimes I just get lost--I took off my sundress to tan in my bikini with my headphones on. Placing my journal a meter away, I began to doze off.
"Do you think she can hear us?"
"This is creepy."
"We need to leave."
"Louis, you're really weird."
"I just wanted to read that journal!"
Sharp giggling brought me to my senses, and I slowly opened my eyes.
"AAAH!" I screamed and immediately backed away, seeing five teenage boys near me.
"Can I help you?!" I furiously demanded.
Three of the five boys skittered behind the other two. I met eyes with a boy who had straight, light brown hair on his forehead, and a boy with a buzzed style haircut.
"Sorry!" The boy with buzzed hair furrowed his eyebrows and apologized profusely.
"Yeah, sorry!" The other boy smiled and continued, "I like your journal."
"Um, thank you?" I muttered, slightly confused and still taken aback.
"You're welcome---" The buzzed haired boy trailed off.
"I'm called Melissa. And you are?" I curiously inquired.
"Liam. He's Louis." Liam gestured to the blue-eyed, fringed hair boy, who gave me a slight tingling feeling in my stomach.
"What were you writing?" Louis asked, stepping a bit closer.
I stood up tall and confidentely said, "Just some thoughts. I like to sing."
"Us too." The whole five of them chorused.
"That's weird. But I'm weird too," I laughed at myself and they laughed too. Maybe I could have aquired some funny new friends today.
"Louis wanted to come over here because he said you were hot," The blond boy spoke up and instantly started giggling to himself, causing me to laugh as well with reddened cheeks. Liam pulled him away and the other two boys followed suit. I was left trying feverishly not to gawk at Louis who happened to have his shirt off, and a very tanned and fit body.
You saying I'm hot, Louis?" I countered, making one eyebrow taller than the other.
"Well, I would like to ask you something." He cheekily grinned.
"Um okay," I nervously stated.
"Would you like to go get some frozen yoghurt with me? There's a little place just up the north of the beach."
I wearily weighed the pros and cons in my head. Pro: Free fro-yo, cute guy, probably will have fun. Con: I'd have to pay or he could kill me.
"Sure, why not," I smiled and began to gather my things.
"I think this is gonna be fun." I laughed, walking along with Louis in the sand as he kept saying cheesy jokes.
"Why did the mushroom go to the party?" He turned to me and smiled, waiting for my reply.
"I don't know! Tell me!"
