"Aw Dix, aw no man!"

"Help me!"

"Dad!" oh no we can.. we we could.."

"Daryl he's too chewed up. there's only one thing left to do.. ease his suffering."

---------------------------------------------

(Daryl's POV)

Why am I seeing this again? My vision is red and instead of being myself I'm in my dad's shoes. How can I tell? I saw myself next to Uncle Jess as they stand over Dad's corpse. My real self pulls the slide of the M1911 in his hands and aims it at me and my dad. He is hesitates and is about to shoot, but like I remember we don't pull the trigger.

"Give it here." Jess blurts out.

We hand over the gun to Jess and step back a bit avoiding the sight of easing Dad's suffering. My mind is telling me not to look and wait until Jess shoots, but my head is telling me to look. As much as I don't like it I turn to look at Jess and my dying father, only this time it's not dad.

"Merle?" I question.

My disemboweled brother looks at me dead in the eyes right before Jess acts.

"Sorry brother." Jess remarks.

"NO!!!!!!" I yell as I try to snag the gun out of Jess' hands.

The gun goes off.

---------------------------------------------

I wake up in shock, startling Merle at the same time as he drives the Humvee.

"Hey!" Merle barks.

"What?" I ask.

"You scared the living crap outta me Darlina." Merle says.

I flip the bird at him with a smug look and he just chuckles.

"Hey for real though. You ok baby brother?" he asks.

"Yeah just a nightmare." I reply.

"Ah, gotcha."

We stay silent for a bit as Merle navigates through the roads. All we see for a good bit are trees and more fucking trees.

"Hey Merle." I say.

"Hm?" he replies.

"Can you tell me where and what exactly did you do while you were away with your gang conflict?" I ask.

"Well you see Darlina, I went back to the base for this here helluva vehicle and grabbed some stuff there." Merle continues. "Without everything I have you would've either been on that walker chopper or stuck fighting the biters back at Firesign".

"I see." I comment.

"Oh no." Merle mutters.

"What's going on?" I ask.

Merle replies "Tank's almost empty".

He adds on "Alright look either we find some gas or we best start heading out on foo-".

He stops talking. At first I thought he just spaced out, but after then I saw what he saw. Another car is driving down the road towards us in the other lane. Merle reaches over to my side of the Humvee and opens the glove box to grab a box of ammo for his .357. He pulls the revolver out of his jet black holster and opens the chamber to reload it. As he does this I reach down to my feet to grab my crossbow and I open the passenger door to step out to confront the car. By the time I circle around the military vehicle to face the care Merle steps out with his gun aiming at the car, just aiming, while I point my crossbow at the car. The car halts to a stop about ten feet away from us. We observe the windows and we see that there's only one guy in the car. The man opens the door with his own handgun aimed at us and stands with one hand on the hood of the car, the other holds his gun.

"Can I help you dumbasses?"
