"ah" iza emitted a small yelp shooting up into a sitting position relieving her from her unconscious state. nearly gagging on the smell of mold. her eyes adjusted to the dimly lit room as a mixed sense of panic and relief washed over her for she was no longer in the snow fields but on a medal table in the center of a room fortified by stone walls her eyes scanned over every thing so quickly she almost failed to notice the curled up figure sobbing in the corner of the room.

she stepped off the table gently walking towards the figure slowly with caution. the figure tensed up sensing her and looked over his shoulder revealing his dark green eyes and blonde locks matted with a thick red substance. iza stared at him a moment her eyes darting from his leg crooked and bent in a odd position and then darting back to his eyes that took on a gkossy look that just stared off "are you real" he asked shakily "what do you mean am I real" iza asked stepping back keeping her distance. "your not one of the creatures are...are you" he stuttered his eyes now wide stared intently as if inquiring "c creature" iza sputtered her breath going rigid as she started to comprehend her situation a little better.

she crouched down to the mans level grabbing both his shoulder and turning him to face her "what do you mean creature..what is this place...why am I here" iza shot out before giving the man a chance to answer. he stuttered for a moment thinking of a reply before involuntarily shaking "because he wants you here he wants us all here" he said iza slowly backed away. "who" she demanded the man stared his mouth gaping open with an absence of an answer. "who" iza said once more stomping her foot against the ground. the man winced from the action "I don't I don't know I tried to roam the halls earlier but then then that" his voice began to trail off as he clenched his eyes shut shaking his head .

iza began to feel rather guilty looking at him with pity. she let a small sigh leave her lips. crouching down she put her arm under his shoulder pulling him up from the cold concrete. he winced as he tried to put pressure on his crooked leg. "what is this place" iza said helping him to a wall to lean against "I haven't the slightest idea....just as you I woke up here earlier today" he said looking off iza followed his gaze leading to a wooden door in the wall she looked over at him and back to the door before starting to walk towards the door he grabbed her by the sleeve of her shirt "you don't know whats out there" he said she brushed him off before re grabbing his wrist "im not we are" she said "what" he said astonished "you said you were in the halls earlier consider yourself my map" iza said "but I was only in the hall for a moment until I found myself here" he said "that's more inside knowledge then I have of this place" iza replied "shouldn't we find a way out of here"

"whats your name?" he asked as she walked to the door "iza...yours?" "arthur" her hand pressed against the wooden door opening slowly with a loud ominous creaking sound that echoed down the hallway behind it. "well isn't that just lovely" she said sarcastically taking a step forward into the hallway only to trip over a large object. "are you okay"" Arthur ask stumbling into the hallway next to her "yes quite fine" she said propping herself up on the palms of her hands and twisting herself halfway around to see what she had managed to tripped over. "a box?" she said to herself spotting a dark green box sitting directly in the middle of the entrance into the hallway.

she stood up dusting herself off before crouching down beside the box grabbing the lid with the tips of her fingers. "wait.." Arthur said causing her to halt iza looked up at him her hands resting on the lid of the box. "we don't know what could be inside" Arthur continued iza looked back at the box lifting it up slightly off the ground and lightly shaking it . "whatever it is its not all to light" iza said as she opened it. the contents of the box where made up of a knife a gun and a folded up piece of paper posing as a note she picked it up unfolding it to see a letter written in faint gray she read it aloud "lets see how far youll get with no more then two bullets" izas eyes scanned the words a few times before she checked the handheld gun to see that there was only two bronze colored bullets.

iza placed the knife in her pocket and forced the gun into arthurs hand "wouldn't it be better for you to have the gun with me in my condition" Arthur asked staring at the gun dumb struck "you have to have some form of a weapon and with you in your state im guessing close range action is not an option" iza said walking ahead of him down the hallway he quickly staggered behind pushing the gun into the pockets of his khakis

a strange tapping sound made its way down the halls bouncing off the walls forming into a distant echo iza stopped walking and turned noticing Arthur pausing and looking down the other end of the hall a grim expression holding onto his features "Arthur..what is that" iza asked swallowing hard as the sound came closer and closer becoming louder picking up audibility arthurs head whipped over to look at iza his eyes filled with a placid expression as he simply said "move faster" and urged her down the hall in a quicker motion a loud crash drifted through the hall with a clattering echo "what was that" iza said in a shrill and quick tone as she began to panic Arthur didn't reply he continued to trudge forward with his broken leg urging her to move quicker until they finally met the end of the hall were a large steel door sat red specks of what appeared to be blood scattered across the frame iza put her hand on the door and paused trying to sneek a peek at arthurs face to make sure this room was okay "quickly now" Arthur said in a hurried tone as he impatiently looked down the hall and back at the door

the low droning sound growing nearer was all the reassurance she needed to push her way through the door and slam it shut behind them
