Henry yawned, as was so usual on a Maths class.
"Come on!" said Susan, who sat at his right side "Do something or you will not catch up!"
"You are right"muttered the seventeen-year-old teenager "I should start copying the blackboard."
But soon his thoughts flew to somewhere else. He thought of being able to fly, not like a bird but setting off to another planet. As a child he was fascinated by astronomy. It was a shame that science is so closely related to Maths - because it wasn't one of his particular abilities.
Suddently, the teacher interrupted her speech when the door opened. The school headmaster stepped in.
"Today we've got two new students."
There was a boy called Sam Tanner, and a dark-haired girl called Elsa. She, being the last to appear, caught his sight as a shock. It could haver been his rose baggy jumper, which she had combined with black leggings. It could as well have been...
"Henry, c'mon lend me a blue pen" said Thomas.
"You write too much" he said in turn.
Thomas answered with a grin.
"Great" said the teacher once the Headmaster's words of greeting were over "Let's go on with this group of equations..."
The class passed slowly. Henry would have turned his head to watch both newcomers, but his friend Susan literally forced him to copy all the notes and exercises of the past four classes. He did not complain, as he new it was for the sake of his final marks.

As he opened the bathroom door and went in, our Henry came face to face with what appeared to be a giant insect. Taking into account that he was a seventeen-year-old High School student without any magical power and neither an arcane weapon nor experience in hand fighting, it was predictable that he fell to the ground before he could see the devilish predator.
He had just got out of the class during the lesson to answer to a call of nature. Now he was facing the edge of his own death. The beast grabbed him by the torso and was ready to hold him hard and never let him loose as long as it was alive. Henry could sense the cold feel of hard plastic-like scales. They were around its body as an unbreakable carcass. It was a demon from the long-forgotten reign of Malastrar, and had been designed to kill people.
In the middle of his struggle, Henry saw tentacles coming from the beast's mouth and coiling around his neck. But at the same time, he was hearing heavy footsteps of someone running across the corridor. Was that someone going to save him?
