A/N Guys, this is my first story and I'm trying to get many reads so I can create more stories! Well, hope you like it. The cover is a picture of Skylar and the external link is her brother.(:

“Skylar, wake up! You need to get up for school!” I woke up to the smell of bacon and screaming from my mom.

I groaned and tossed the warm fuzzy blankets off of my body. I dragged my feet across the carpet and walked to my dresser.

'Hmm, what to wear for the first day...' I thought. I decided on my striped blouse with black skinny jeans. I put them on and brushed my hair, letting the black waves flow halfway down my back. My makeup was done with some eyeshadow and some light eyeliner. I grabbed my anklet from my drawer and put it on along with my sandals. Walking out, I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs where my family awaits me.

“Good morning sweetie. Did you get a good nights rest?” My dad asked me when I walked into the kitchen.

“Yes dad. Until mom had to wake me.” I glared at my mom while she just shook her head and continued cooking.

I took a piece of bacon and some eggs and sat down next to my brother, Lucas. I looked over to see what he was wearing for his first day. He had a striped polo on with some tan jeans. His black hair was swept perfectly to the side of his face. He looked pretty good. Luke and I have been really close ever since we were born. He's 18 and I'm 17. I'm now in 11th grade and he's in 12th. Some people think having an older brother is bad, but it's really not that bad.

“Aw Luke! You look cute!” I smiled up at him. He smiled back and continued to eat.

“You look really pretty too. Don't let any guys try to do shit with you or else I'm gonna have to beat some ass.” Lucas winked at me and I laughed.

“Alright, alright. You guys need to leave. School starts soon and you still need to drive.” My mom handed me some money for lunch and pushed us out the door.

I walked to the passenger seat of Luke's car and got in. He hopped in after me and turned on the music.

“Off to school! Hopefully it'll be a good day.” I shouted and started to sing along to the radio, which was playing 'Just Give Me A Reason.'
