I handed the test to my teacher, she quickly skimmed through the pages and then nodded. I spun on my heals and exited the class.

I  heard them approaching as I exited the building . I walked faster. They laughed like hyenas, whopping and hollering. They were getting closer. Fear gripped me and I began to run. I sprint through the halls and out the main door. I spotted my car on the far side of the parking lot and silently cursed myself for parking so far away.

I looked back and could see them turn the corner. I yelped and began sprinting again, across the parking lot and to my car. Whiles running I fished my keys out of my pocket. They were getting closer. Frantically I opened the door and jumped in, locking it behind me.  They crashed against my car grasping at it. They were vile creatures with behemoth bodies. Large muscles coiled around every inch of them. They were covered in what looked like black sludge. They had large red eyes, slit like snakes. They smiled predatory smiles with large yellowed, pointed teeth. Their arms and legs were much to long for the rest of their bodies and at the end of each finger and toe were long hooked nails, coloured green like poison. Wails of joy erupted from their throats as they trapped me in my car. Terror consumed me and I did the only logical thing. I started my car and sped out of the school, swerving to get the demon  on my hood to fall off. They ran after me though their long legs keeping them close to  my car I began to cry then; for fear they would torture me when they caught me. I pushed my car, letting it exceed the legal limit two times over. I didn’t care, I couldn’t let them catch  me. Squeals of ecstasy exploded from then; as they were very close to my car, but I was very close to my house. Tears of joy sprung to my eyes as I parked and jumped out of my car. I ran into my house locking the door behind me and sprinted to my parents room, which held a gun behind a painting. I took it and retreated to my room, locking the door and sitting against the far wall.

I could hear then as they rampaged through the house, hooting and hollering, calling my name. I could hear glass shattering and firmer solids smashing against the floor. I flicked the safety off the gun as I heard them approaching. There was a light scratching against the door and someone whispers “Miley.” I aimed the gun at the door. Suddenly it burst open, halfway hanging off it’s hinges. I pulled the trigger. It sank into the chest of a beautifully horrible boy. He didn’t eve flinch. His opal eyes flicked to my own, he was no longer the demon he was before. He yet stood at least six feet six inches. His eyes, hair and clothes all the same crow feather black. He had pale skin  and a wicked smile. He was followed by a boy who seemed his opposite with blonde hair and gold eyes to match,  sun kissed skin and a heavenly smile. He stood only about six feet but held himself in a way that made up for it. He seemed like an angel. The angel was followed by two girls. One seemed like mother nature, the other the iron queen. Mother nature was small and dainty with a tiara made of flowers sitting upon her flaming locks of auburn hair. With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green. Her smile was like a breath of spring. She wore a green sun dress with flowers sewn into the fabric. The iron queen was her opposite. Her hair was whitish blonde, her was cold and metallically coloured. Her skin held no colour and she wore a grown of twisted wires. She did NOT smile. The angel, demon, iron queen, and mother nature all swaggered into my room. I began to sob.

“Oh don’t cry.” said mother nature. Her voice as soft as summer rain. I aimed the gun at her and the demon moved to stand in front of her.

“I don’t get why you’re so sad. We’re just trying to help you.” the demon said touching my knee. “All we want is to help you.” and his face began to contort, turning vile. I screamed and squeezed the trigger. This bullet landed solidly between his eyes. Again he didn’t even blink. He clenched his jaw and closed his eyes. Seconds later, the bullet fell out. He wiped at the hole in his head and then it was gone. “That wasn’t very nice Miley. How could you do that to one of your friends? What kind of person are you?” and I sobbed harder, for the demon was right. And suddenly I remembered all of them. They were my friends. They were my friends and they were trying to help me, and when things started going downhill in my life I took it out on them. The demon has said those exact words to me. “Miley we don’t want to see you like this.” said the iron queen.

“We really want to help you overcome your troubles.” the angel tried to tell me.

“Please just let us help.” mother nature pleaded. Earth quaking sobs racked my body. “You are my problems! You aren’t trying to help me, you’re the ones hurting me! How can you call yourselves my friends but you’re tearing my life apart!” I yelled back. The exact words I had said to them when we fought.

“If you don’t want our help, then we wont give it!” said the angel and with that the lot of them left. I began to scream and slam my head against the wall. The was all my fault. They wanted to help me and I made them seems like creatures from hell. It was my own fault they were all gone now, and it was my fault. I’m the monster. And then I put the barrel in my mouth squeezed the trigger and all I saw was black.
