The Evil has bloomed: Chapter 4
The blue hedgehog before me stared at me as if I was the craziest thing in the world. It was a simple question, since I am still new to living. You see, I wasn't alive till a year ago and was only a residue from a ripple of time that so happened to landed onto a chaos emerald. When I woke up to this vast world with the help of doctor Eggman, I couldn't help but hate it. It was just too bright and too much happiness....It seemed boring. Back to the hedgehog in front of me, I think he was giving a heroic speech on why I shouldn't see evil as 'fun'.
But could you blame me to ask such a thing? But, the look on his face was absolutely priceless.
"You see, evil isn't fun. It's just plain wrong and will only make people hate you," his answer didn't satisfy me. To think, he would give me an answer that would discourage me from it. Sure, hated and wrong are bad, but is that all he could tell me? I didn't care if people hated me, but who could? I knew and cared for no one. Very interesting indeed, maybe I could trick him into thinking I would turn good and he could take these damned cuffs from my wrists?
I pursed my lips into a thin line and I made it seem like I was in a thought, as if I'm actually taking in what he said. "I see your point," my voice easily sounding as if I understood, "I wouldn't want people to hate me, your right."
His lips twitched into that trade mark grin I always seen on Eggman's old security cameras and he puts up thumbs up. He was wreaking heroic spirit and goodness, it was an eyesore. I wonder why this irritates me to see him so happy. His hand clamps onto the screwdriver he got from the table and starts to work on the cuffs. Huh, like I haven't tried that before. I decided to let him use it anyways, just to entertain myself. The screwdriver eventually broke and the blue hero scratched the back of his quills in thought, "I guess that didn't work, I can try one more thing to get the cuffs off, but you have to keep still," he spoke, confidence still in his voice.
I just nod my head and I was willing to do anything to get these off of me. I've tried blow torching, sawing, and smashing the things and it didn't work. I hold my wrists out to him and my curiosity grows as he starts to step back. Within moments, a blue blur of movement descended onto my wrist and the clang of metal fell to the ground. I was free. Oh I could feel my power coursing through my veins and it felt exhilarating! I feel like I could destroy a whole city if I wanted to.
A huge grin plastered itself onto my face and I couldn't help but laugh. The fool actually believed I would turn good, and freed me!
Sonic expression shifted to a concerned-serious look, he asked me, "w-why are you laughing?" His voice was nervous and unsure.
Finally, I couldn't hold it in, "Because, now I'm free to do whatever I please. Thank you, Sonic the hedgehog," Then I was gone like a flicker of light, leaving the betrayed hero behind.
