A Feast to Remember || 8

It was almost Thanksgiving. Everyone was everywhere and people were busy 24/7. All of my guild members were
busy trying to rebuild the guild hall so I wasn't able to hang out with anyone lately.

I mean sure I've helped but honestly, I really hate building things. Last time I tried without my magic, I almost died.

Anyways, this brings me to the current day, November 26th. Thanksgiving day. I ran downstairs and instantly smelled fresh pie.
"Hiyake? When should we leave in order to make it in time for the feast?" I asked my exceed.
"In about 2 hours child" I heard her reply.

I began to rummage through my closet downstairs. After a while of searching I finally found the perfect dress for this occasion. It was an orangish yellow and went down to my knees. The sleeves were a decent length and hid a scar that Natsu gave me a while back.

I ran into the kitchen and asked Hiyake if she needed any help. Once again, I got stuck with the shopping job.

I arrived at the market and began searching for the food items that Hiyake needed in order to make a successful platter of food.

Cheese
Pretzels
Bread
Pie crust
Cherry pie filling
Whip cream
Sprinkles
Milk
Sugar
Cinnamon powder
And finally cinnamon

I rolled my eyes at the long list she had given me. I picked up each item and headed towards the cashier, leaving soon after.

~Time Skip: 2hours~

I walked in the guild hall wearing the dress I had picked out earlier. My hair was curled, white flats, and a bit of jewelry. I smiled and greeted Mira-Jane. She looked quite lovely in the tan dress she was wearing.

"(Y/n)-chan? Could you go set up the table over there?" I heard her ask. I nodded and walked over to the table that wasn't decorated in any way. I grabbed a table cloth and covered the table with it. Soon after putting a decoration in the middle with candles surrounding it.

I was surprised when only a few people had arrived at the time the party began. It was people I haven't even met before but, Mira-Jane was talking to them so I guess they're a part of the guild.

I approached a chair that was in the corner of the room and sat in its rock-hard cochin. I pulled out a book and began reading. The book was filled with Information about mages and the magic types they used in order to win the Great War that took place 1000 years ago.

I had gotten so caught up in the wonderful book that I didn't notice Natsu had walked into the guild with Lucy and Grey. Lucy walked over and tapped me on the shoulder, gaining my attention immediately.

I stared at her as she pointed her finger towards the two boys fighting.
"Give it up Flame Brain!"
"In your dreams Ice Princess!"
"Both of you stop" I said with a straight face. Natsu ran over and picked me up, causing me to blush.
"At least I have a girlfriend" Natsu said which was pointed towards Grey. I snuck a peek at Lucy only to see a red-faced crying baby.

'She's such a crybaby' I thought to myself then looked towards the two boys who were fighting. Natsu dropped me and ran over to Grey, punching him but missing slightly. I stayed straight faced and got up. I slowly walked over to the bar and began drinking.

Natsu sat beside me and ordered one for himself. He looked at me and smiled, not earning one back from me.
"What's wrong (y/n)?" I heard him ask,
concern-ness hiding deep within his voice.
"Nothing, I'm quite fine actually" I replied snappily, sending him negative vibes.
"You don't sound fine"
"No dip Sherlock" I replied before sipping some alcohol out of my glass.

He stared at me blankly, making it seem like he was trying to figure out what was wrong. Eventually he got up and ran over to Grey, surprisingly talking to him without fighting.

~Time Skip- 1Hour~
We sat a long table that was made out of all the tiny tables laying around the guild hall. I was sitting in between Natsu and Grey.
'Why me' I thought before looking at both of them. Hiyake was looking at me and laughing her ass off.

I rolled my eyes and gave my attention to gramps. He was now giving a speech.

"I would like to thank you all for coming and joining your guild members in this amazing feast. I would like to thank God for us being able to have this food. Also, welcoming our newest member (y/n)! Not necessarily welcoming though because she's been here for quite a while. Anyways dig in!" He said before sitting down and eating his food.

I giggled and began politely eating my food, unlike the others who were literally digging in.

I stopped eating after having two turkey legs and a few spoonfuls of mashed potatoes.

Now comes the dancing. I walked away to try and avoid it. Sitting on a bench outside I realized how beautiful the irks really is. I was lucky to be in a place like this. I had friends, family, food, shelter, and the love and care I needed.

Natsu walked out and held his hand out. I took it as he asked me for a dance. I had just realized that the music was loud enough to where you could hear it outside of the guild.

Slowly nodding he spun me then grabbed my hip, kissing me after.

Back on 6th street
