Chapter Five - chatting to Bethany in WhatsApp

I heard a vibration from my phone.

'You've got a message from Bethany'

Bethany was messaging.

I pressed the WhatsApp icon and it said:

'You have 1 unread message'

And then I saw Bethany's unread message.

'Hi Zoe, I have nothing to do,wanna talk?'

So I replied.

'I also have nothing to do,it's just peace and quiet,usually I like peace and quiet,but not when i'm alone doing nothing particularly and I only like it if I am busy and I can't concentrate or when I'm in bed obviously sleeping,I wouldn't wanna get annoyed.'

Woah that was kinda long.

'Yeah same here,I think we have some things in common.'

'Yeah,thats true.By the way,you know in the weekends it's a day off work,do you want a day off or do you have to have to have a day off.'

'Well it's particularly both,dunno how to explain.'

'What should we talk about.'

'My family! You know yesterday you had lunch with them,I wanna know what you was thinking.'

'Well your family is really kind and mature,the dinner was delicious, your house was beautiful and thats probably it.'

'Okay,that was three things though but it doesn't matter,at least It's a compliment that i have recieved from you.'

'I really like your family.I wanna tell you something but I feel shy and it's something got to do with your...your...your brother.'

'Ooh you fancy him don't you,don't worry,I won't tell anyone,promise,anyways why would I,I'm like a friend to you,right?'

'Yeah.You know I always have dreams of cute boys with blue eyes and dark hair and dimples,thats exactly what your brother has,and I randomely have a...have a...have a crush on him.'

'Well it's okay,thats what happens when you find someone cute.'

'I know.Lets not talk about your family, sorry but it's kind of boring talking about the same thing,I don't hate them,it's just I wanna talk about different things.'
'It's okay,I understand,it's not offensive and I don't feel offended.'

'Oh okay,bye,I need to um help my mum with the laundry.'

'Okay,bye!'

I had to lie to Bethany because I felt embarassed to actually admit that I love her brother,what if she tells him,I am sure she won't because she promised not to tell anyone and that includes him.

My mum is at work and my dads not hear because...because they divorced and I dunno why,but I have a step dad and I don't really like him because he is annoying and he keeps repeating the same things over and over again,I have become a legitimate child I think.My mum used to like him,his name was Roger and my mum doesn't like him anymore so they also divorced and now I do not have any dad,just a grandad living with us,my grandmother doesn't live with us because they also divorced and one of their child which was a boy,passed away because he commited suicide because he broke up with his girlfriend because he didn't know that she was bad,he used to buy her lots of presents and she appreciated it but she never gave him anything and whenever they went somewhere,he had to always paid for the stuff and she never paid for anything at all.

At the end she addmitted everything bad about her and so he broke up with her and you know commited suicide,but it's a really sad story,he never really enjoyed life much,he is older than me and he never got married because he didn't want to,obviously because that time he loved his girlfriend.

Anyways no more family matter,it makes me wanna cry.

I made my own lunch,bread with chicken and mayonnaise with lettuce and sweetcorn,it was yummy and healthy because the chicken didn't have oil,i used a special pan where you don't have to use oil,it cooks itself with I think chilli powder and pepper or something.
