Still estastic, we make our way out a secret hatch in the roof where we're sure no one will see us run into the patch of woods next to the play set. We jump down. Well, I jump down and wist jumps into my arms. Its only now that i notice that she's really thin. I hope she's okay..
She jumps out of my arms and grabs my hand, already starting to run. For as tiny as she is, she's pretty strong. She can pull me with her and being a five foot eight guy, thats kinda cool, being so small and having basically noodles for arms. As in thinking, I realize we're stopping, already in the small-looking wooded area. She pants and gasps for breath right along with me. I take a moment to take in our surrondings. We're in a small clearing with large, lovely trees all around us. They cover the sky above us but, not enough to see the slightly cloudy blue sky. It's honestly quite beautiful and I'm kinda regretting all those times that wist wanted me to come in here and I never did. It's absolutely stunning.. Wisty finally sits up and I look into her blue, gray, and green eyes. I notice they have flecks of yellow and brown going off from her pupil. They are so beautifully put together. Maybe some of the most beautiful eyes I've seen in my life. I was stuck with dark brown eyes that turn different shades of browns, even blacks, when my mood changes.
"Come on, G, we need to keep moving so we can find a good place to rest tonight." she says, looking away. She shifts the backpack around and looks like she's uncomfortable.
"You know you don't have to come with me, I won't make you. I'll be fine on my own." I say as she starts to walk away. She stops, turns around and puts her hands on my shoulders.
"I'm coming. There's nothing you can say that will make me not want to come with you. I need to make sure you stay safe. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I knew something happened to you." she whispers the last bit. Her voice was stern, yet still sweet.
I almost feel guilty that she feels like she needs to protect me..
"You know what?" She gives me a confused look, her eyes look as if she's asking "what?"
I continue on when she doesn't actually say anything, "Being in a wooded area like this just makes me think of a song that I heard awhile back."
"And what song would that be?" she follows up.
"Down in the forest
We'll sing a chorus
One that everybody knows..."
"Oh hell, I always forget you sing well." She signs out, making me give a small laugh. She's so funny with her reactions sometimes.
I sit there and giggle like a child because of that. She looks at me like I've gone mad and perhaps I have but, I'll never know. Now we move forward, me still humming that song, her just looking. I take a moment to admire her. Her long, black hair simply braided kind of like katniss everdeen in "The Hunger Games" it looks so pretty and perfect. Looking at her face more, I notice her tiny freckles around her rounded nose and under her beautifully hazel eyes. Her light, pink lips.
About halfway through walking the wooded area, we notice someone. He looks like a police officer. How did he get here so quickly? We haven't been walking that long, have we? We hide behind a bush or a tree or some shit like that. Fortunately, he doesn't notice us at all.
