CHAPTER 10

RECAP:

''Finally!'' I chucked the contents down and immediately I felt the power surge through me. ''Let's see what I can do.'' I saw one of my worthless guards. ''Hey you!'' I shouted at him and swiped my hands across and see he's head flew off he's shoulders. ''Wow, nice work Catarina. You deserve a nice reward for such an amazing job well done.''

I walked towards her and grabbed her face roughly with my hands and kissed her. ''I'm gonna need your help in something I wanna do.'' She nodded her head slightly. ''Good girl.''

The so called secret royal circle won't see this one coming, not even close.

ANNABEL'S POV

My dad and I have been working on some new magic and I have to admit I've been getting stronger and stronger each time. It has been a couple days that I've been practising magic and learning new things every time. My dad says I've been doing good with my dark magic and the elemental magic. He said they taught us everything that we needed to know, hell they even learned us a few combat moves.

The couple of days flew by very quick and I have to say I came to love this place. I was laying in bed but decided to get up and go wash. As soon as I was done with my daily routines I went downstairs to get some breakfast. ''Morning guys.'' I said as I grabbed a bowl and pour some cereal in and ate. ''Your rather chirpy this morning. Diana said whist putting her bowl in the dishwasher.

A smile grew on my face as I said ''yeah well can't a girl be happy for a change huh?'' Bending my head a little so that I won't mess on myself I saw through my lashes that Cole was staring at me. Frowning I looked over myself ''what, did I spill on myself?'' Cole who was just staring at me suddenly burst out with laughter. ''N-no y-you didn't spill on yourself.'' Still frowning I asked ''then what's so funny?'' Again he started to laugh and said when he's laughter finally died down ''you should've seen your face, that's what's so funny.'' He got up from he's chair bowl in hand and put it in the dishwasher.

''Then why were you staring at me?'' I asked. ''Just 'cos your worth staring at.'' He whispered in my ear so only I could hear. Realising what he just said, I felt my face heat up instantly. What the hell? Why am I blushing? Its not that I like Cole or anything. Trying to hide my face from everyone I got up and put my bowl in the dishwasher and walked out of the kitchen back to my room.

A knock sounded from my bedroom door revealing none other then Cole himself. ''Can I come in? You disappeared so quickly from the kitchen, was it something I said?'' He asked making he's way to my bed and sat next to me. ''I'm okay don't worry about me.'' I said as I saw him moving even closer towards me. ''You know I meant what I said, you really are worth staring at.'' He scratched the back of he's as he laughed ''wow that really didn't come out right.'' I looked at him then and I couldn't help myself as I stared at he's soft looking lips wondering just how soft they really were.

Swallowing hard I realised what I just and hurriedly got of my bed and stood against the far wall, further away from him, I don't wanna do something I might regret. Cole stood up from the bed as well and came towards me slowly. ''These couple of days I've been thinking a lot...a lot about you. And I just can't seem to stop thinking about you Annabel. To be completely honest here, I don't think I want that thoughts to stop anytime soon.'' Now standing right in front me, I felt my heart rate sped up and so is my breathing.

Did I just hear him correctly? ''C-Cole...'' I started to say just when he puts he's finger across my lips. God that was hot what he just did, what its true! ''Shh, don't say anything. First let me finish.'' He looked me in my eyes as he continues. ''I know we don't know each other very long but I can't seem to get you out of my head. When I saw you the first time I knew we shared a deep connection but I didn't know what to make of it. So I was thinking long and hard and I came to realise that I need to be with you.'' He whispered softly. ''I want to kiss you Annabel...can I kiss you?''

Not knowing how to respond to that I just nod my head and smiled at me softly leaning in closer. ''Hey Annabel I think you need to come downstairs going to find Cole...what the?'' A voice said from my doorway. We both breathes a sigh of disappointment and reluctantly turn around to stare at the culprit who just ruined the best kiss I might have had.

''What were you two...nevermind I don't think I wanna know. You two need to come downstairs, we have guests.'' Diana said and walked out the room. Me and Cole shared a look and went down the stairs.

''My, my if it isn't Cole and Annabel. The rest of the royal circle.'' A man with black hair and blue eyes, dressed very casually I might add said from the foyer.

''And you are?'' Cole asked the guy and stood still next to Tanner who looked kind of stiff and pale. What's going on here?
