“That’s my baby sister, you asshole. Don’t you dare talk to her like that again or I’ll knock your lights out!” I heard Jake yell. I watched him walk towards the front of the bus; from the sofa where I was curled up, his face set in an expression of anger. When his eyes met mine his expression softened. He sat down next to me and slowly, carefully pulled me onto his lap. I wasn’t sure if he was so careful because he was unsure of what he was doing or because of what Ashley did. But I didn’t care as I buried my face in his chest and for the first time in a long time, I felt safe.

“We’re here!” I heard BVB’s tour manager, Jon, shout.
“Finally.” Jake muttered. I unwrapped Jake’s arms from around me, so that I could stand and make myself useful. I went to the front of the bus in search of Jon, when I found him I asked,
“Hey Jon, is there anything I can do to help?”
“Ermm…you could help the technicians get the set ready.” He replied. I thanked him and left the bus with the technicians. It felt good to finally be able to stretch my legs and escape the tension on the bus.
“Kyla.” One of the techs said, commanding my attention.
“Yeah?” I replied.
“I need your help with these lights.”
“Okay, I’ll be right over.”
“Right, I need you to make sure that all the light work, whilst I sort the amps out. Okay?”
“Okay.” I replied as he walked off. I began to systematically check the connections in the wires for the lights. There were a couple that weren’t working, so I grabbed the step ladder that was beside me and proceeded to climb up it in order to reach the lights and their wiring. After a few minutes of messing with the wires, I believed that I’d fixed the problem. So I climbed back down and turned the power on. Unfortunately I had only managed to fix one of the lights but the other still stubbornly refused to work. Instead of messing with the wires again, I decided to take a look at the bulb, so back up the ladder I climbed. Taking the bulb out proved to be easy, and after a quick inspection I found that the filament was broken.
“Kyla, there you are!” yelled CC, making me jump and drop the bulb. “Ermm…sorry about that.”
“No worries, it didn’t work anyway. So, what do you want CC?” I asked, climbing down the ladder.
“Just thought I’d let you know that Asking Alexandria have arrived.”
“Cool. Ermm…well, thanks for letting me know, but I’m gonna stay here.” He didn’t say anything, he just walked away. I felt bad for brushing him off, but I wasn’t in the mood to deal with the tension back on the bus. I wish I knew what I did to piss Ashley off.

“5 minutes!” one of the security guards yelled. Black Veil Brides were about to go on stage and play their first gig of the Outcast Tour. Me, Jake, Jinxx and CC were all stood together; whilst Andy and Ashley stood together, talking quietly.
“So what happened between you and Ash earlier?” asked CC, apparently still confused about earlier.
“I don’t really want to talk about it.” I replied. “I’m sure Jake’ll fill you in, if you ask nicely.”
“Thanks Kyla(!)” Jake said sarcastically.
“You’re welcome.” I laughed.
“Time to go!” The security guard said.
“See you later sis.” Jake said, giving me a quick hug before following the others on stage.

"That was amazing!" I squealed, jumping around like a crazy fan girl.
"You're sisters crazy, Jake." laughed CC.
"I know." Replied Jake, earning an elbow in the ribs from me. "Ow that hurt!"
"You're welcome." I laughed, high fiveing CC.
"So what did I miss?" Asked a deep British sounding voice.
"Not much Danny. Just Jake getting beaten up by his baby sister." replied CC. Danny!? As in Danny Warsnop!?
"So this is Jakes infamous sister is it?" Danny asked indicating me. I blushed. Infamous? Jake really talked about me that much? I mean, I thought about him all the time, but I didn't talk about him that much.
"I wouldn't say she was infamous." Said Jinxx, breaking the silence.
"Are you guys partying with us tonight?" Danny asked, glancing over to where Andy, Ashley and a couple of other people stood. Andy nodded answering an unasked question, he glanced at me and nodded again. I shot him a confused look but got nothing in return. I spent the next couple of hours hanging out on the bus whilst the others were at a meet and greet.
There was a knock at the door. Opening it I saw Danny and a blonde haired guy stood there.
“Ermm…hi. If you’re looking for Andy, he’s at a meet and greet.” I said.
“I know.” Danny replied “We were looking for you, actually. The meet and greet will finish in a couple of minutes and you’re partying with us tonight.”
“I am?”
“Yeah, it’s gonna be awesome. Trust me.”
“Okay. Let me put some shoes on and I’ll be right with you.” I went the bunk area, put on my
platforms and joined Danny and the blonde guy, we walked a couple of blocks down the road to a bar.
“Here we are.” Said the blonde, speaking for the first time. I still had no idea where we were but I knew that Danny and the blonde would keep me safe, if only to avoid Jake getting angry. Speaking of Danny, where was he?
“Ben! Kyla!” CC shouted “Come, join us.”
“So this is where you went Danny.” I said when I got to the table that BVB and Danny were occupying.
“It’s nice to see you too Kyla.” Andy replied, trying and failing to look hurt.
“Aww am I not giving you enough attention? Whatever will you do?” I mocked. For the next few minutes Andy pretended to be hurt by what I’d said and I pretended to ignore him. Then drinks came and Andy transformed back to his usual self. I was sat between Andy and Ben, which was an interesting place to sit. Soon enough my glass was empty and I was ordering another. I was happy enough chilling with the guys but I could feel Ashley’s resentment of me radiating from him across the table. With every drink that went I found my annoyance growing. Finally I spoke directly to Ashley.
“Are you going to bite my head off about something I haven’t done, again? Or are you going to keep ignoring and hating me for no reason? Because you know what? I don’t care! I don’t care that you hate me and that you regret agreeing with Jake that I should come on tour with you. But you know what I’m good for a lot more than just sex!” I stood but fell onto Ben’s lap, staring angrily at Ashley, watching his reaction. He looked even more pissed at me than before.
“Did I miss something?” Ben asked, confused and looking at me for an answer. I looked up at him. He looked hot confused.
“Nope nothing at all.” I said sweetly. I lent in closer, I felt him against me and shivered. Happiness ran through me as I pressed passionate lips against his. Lips parting, lust spreading. I stared into his innocent blue eyes as we broke apart, then re-joined. Hands wandering. But who cares? It was perfect. Awkwardly ruined by Andy clearing his throat. There was a long silence that followed. Ashley staring daggers at me and Jake staring daggers at Ben. I took a drink from Ben’s glass as mine was long empty. I glanced at him and his eyes promised me things yet to come.
At that moment in time, no matter how drunk I was , nothing else matered but those promised...
