“Jake!” I yelled, running towards him, happy to see him.

“Kyla!” he yelled back, wrapping his arms around me when I reached him. “How was school?”

“Dull as always.” I replied

A hand waved in front of my face bringing me back to reality. Looking up I saw my English teacher towering over me.

“Now that your mind is actually in this room, instead of in the clouds. Why did Elizabeth Proctor throw Abigail Williams out of her house?” she asked

“Ummm…She was lazy?” I replied.

“That’s what she told the court, but not the answer to my question. Would anyone care to give me the correct answer?”

We were studying The Crucible by Arthur Miller, which was depressing as hell and we’d already studied it before.

At the end of the day I headed up to the school library to get some art work done. My project revolved around the band Black Veil Brides. I sat at the table in the corner that was surrounded by bookcases. I pulled out my art pad, some pencils and my iPod; I hit the play button and began to draw Ashley’s tattoos. After drawing for an hour, I packed up my stuff and headed home. The walk home was uneventful like always, the streets were empty and there were no signs of life.

“I’m home!” I yelled shutting the door behind me.

“It’s about time.” My cousin replied, walking out of the kitchen.

“I’m gonna be in my room if you want me.” I said walking up the stairs to my room.
