26 Pretty Awkward

It's been a few days, and finally I can leave the hospital.
And Louis didn't text, call (or anything with communication) me.

"So... Ready to go home?"

I looked at my left. "Oh heck yeah I am!"

"Have you brushed your teeth?"

"Mom, what kind of question is this?"

"Nothing, let's go," my mom turned on the engine and there we go.

The hospital wasn't really far away from home.
After ten minutes we arrived.

I opened the door, went to the toilet to pee, cleaned my hands and went to the livingroom.

"Surprise!"

I looked around me. Louis. Katrina. Tiana. Chad. Yoshua. Jim. Naomi. Christel. Tristan. They were all here!
Everywhere was decoration.

Suddenly I noticed there was someone standing in the corner.
I couldn't see it's face.
Than it came in the light.

"Dad?"

"Hey sweetheart! Give me a hug!"

I immediately ran towards him.

"How's my daughter doing lately."

I showed him my arm.

"Haha, of course." he gave me another hug.

Suddenly my mom came in. "Melissa, honey. Shall I make some tea?"

We all looked at the door. Seeing mom was busy on her phone. Once she looked up, her jaw dropped to the ground. "Ferrie..." it sounded broken. "May I talk to you for a while? Upstairs maybe?"

Only Chad, Tristan, Louis, Tiana, and I knew what was happening.

"Of course, honey." My dad turned around. "I'll be back soon. Just give us a minute."

I just nodded. I watched them walking upstairs and turned back to my friends.

"Welcome home, Melissa!" Tiana yelled, giving me a hug.

Suddenly everyone was hugging me except Louis. Which kind of broke my heart a little bit.
After all that hugging, Louis walked towards me. "Welcome home," he said, placing an innocent kiss on my cheek.
I actually don't know if we're together or not. But at the moment I didn't care.

"Who wants cake!" Naomi yelled, holding some plates with cake on it.

The mini-party was awesome. And believe it or not. But it wasn't really awkward between Louis and I.
At seven o'clock everyone helped cleaning up, and after that they went home, except Louis.

"We need to talk, Louis," I said serious, walking towards the backyard.

"Okay," Louis said, opening the door.

It was silent for a while. I didn't know how to ask him. But luckily Louis started.
"So, what's all about?"

"I just wanted to know, if we're a thing now." I said.

"I don't know. I mean, I guess it's not yet official."

"Okay. Do you want to watch a movie?" I asked.

"Yeah."

We both went inside. I switched on the TV and I put on Pixels.

Things were pretty awkward. I mean, we weren't sitting together, and we didn't talk to eachother. Not even looking at eachother.

Suddenly Louis stood up. He knelt on one knee, and grabbed my hands.

"Dear Melissa, do you want to be officially my girlfriend?"

I just looked at him. I don't know what to say. I opened my mouth. "I... I... Yes!" I gave him a hug.
I looked at his face. He's so cute.
I gave him a tiny kiss on the lips.
We looked again in eachothers eyes. And than we kissed. For real.

[Ferrie's (dad) POV] just after Ferrie and Polly went upstairs.

"I told you to stay away from her!" Polly yelled at me.

"Polly listen. She's my daughter. I love her. And the judge didn't decide yet what to do. Untill then, I want to spend some quality time with my daughter."

"I thought you were so sure about the fact that 'you're going to win' ."

"If... Polly... If I'm going to lose, I just want some nice memories."

Polly splitted her eyes. "Okay."

"Why are we even divorced Polly? We were happy together," I asked her.

"You know why."

"No, I don't. Just tell me what I did wrong?"

"I told you over a hundred times," she yelled at me.

"But that didn't happened, Polly!"

"I saw the evidence, Ferrie." she snapped me.

"That message? That was a stranger Polly! I swear!"

"How could it be a stranger? That girl knew your name!"

"That girl is the devil! She tricked me! Just because I didn't want to hook up with her. I was doing the opposite of cheating."

"Don't try to fool me, Ferrie."

"I'm not."

Tears were rolling down her's and mine face.

"I'm not."
