So today sorta sucked. I got fired from my job as a barista. I'm a part time singer and I was a barista. I wasn't very good at my job, I can't blame them for firing me.

I came home to Ashling (we share an apartment) on the phone with her boyfriend, they have been dating for about a year now. I'm that loner. I haven't had a boyfriend for a couple of months now. I don't really care though. I like being independent. I don't like to set myself out there, it makes me uncomfortable. But I try.

After Ashling got off the phone we ordered a pizza for dinner. About 40 minutes later we get a knock on the door, it's the pizza, YAY! I open the door to a tall man leaning agenst the wall with his cap pulled down over his eyes. He pulls himself up with the one thing standing between us, the pizza. I let him come in and set the box down on the table while Ashling grabs her wallet. He sticks his hand out at me and says "Hi, I'm Micheal!". I shake his hand "I'm Kayleigh." He squints looking me straight in the eyes. "Wait Kayleigh! Did you go to Sydney High you look familiar?" He continues staring at me untill I reply. "Yaaa" I was confused with who he was until he took his hat off. "Omfg Mikey, It's been to long" I say reaching out for a hug. We use to date in high school, it lasted about 2 years. He was invested in a band and moved to America (we were in Astralia) and I couldn't handle the long distance relationship.

About 5 minutes later Ashling walks in with her wallet, she sees Micheal and stops. He was like an older brother to him, thats how I met him in the first place. She said in shock "MICHEAL". He turned his head and smiled, walking up to hug her. While hugging she looked at me in shock. They both sat down next to me.

For the next 3 hours we sat, ate pizza, and caught up in each others life. Micheal had all these crazy stories, it made me feel boring. Then I finally asked "Wait, if your still in the band, why do you work at a pizza delivery place?" he looked at me plainly. "When I have a job like being in a band I stick to singing on stage and doing meet and greets, when I have a job like this I get to meet fan IN REAL LIFE. I mean sometimes I don't run into a fan, and thats what I like about it, for the 2 minutes that I'm at this person's door, I feel normal. I miss that." he said sadly. I couldn't think of anything to day. He looked so upset about it.

About 5 minutes later I pay him for the pizza, give him my number, kiss him on the cheek, and send him on his way.

Then I'm back to thinking what it would be like if I had a better job. A better life.

I fell asleep sitting on the couch and watching Netflix.

I'm going to continue writing this as soon as possible
