Tough Love (Xander + Spike)

I Love You

Xander wakes up in Spike's arms on the couch.

He slides his arm under Spike's back trying not to wake him up.

Suddenly the door opens which wakes Spike up.

Xander throws himself over the couch to hide behind it.

It's Buffy.

"Spike, Xander's gone. Did you see him at all yesterday?" Buffy asks obviously worried.

"Yeah, I've bloody seen him. He went for a goddamn trip" Spike lies.

"What? Why would he go on a trip? Especially without telling us?"

"I don't bloody know! He's probably pissed at you for some stupid shit!" Spike yells at Buffy.

Xander accidentally knocks over a bottle behind the couch which draws Buffy's attention to the couch.

"What is that?" Buffy asks.

She walks over to the couch and sees Xander hiding.

"Don't!" Spike is too late.

"What the hell are you doing here, Xander?" Buffy asks shocked.

"Nothing! I'm just.. I'm just hanging out with Spike" Xander responds panicked.

Xander stands up.

"Hanging out? You hate each other" Buffy says confused.

"No we don't! Why does everyone think that?" Xander asks confused.

"You treat each other like crap and you always have!"

"Fine, you know what Buffy? I'm gay!" Xander yells at Buffy.

"Xander, this is no time for jokes, just tell me why you're ignoring us" Buffy responds.

"No, I'm serious! I'm gay!"

"Xander, you had sex with Faith!" Buffy responds with a laugh.

"Technically she had sex with me, and I wasn't sure back then! That was three years ago. And I hated it. I thought that it was just a phase, but it wasn't. I'm gay! Why is that so hard to accept? Willow is gay and you don't have a problem with that!" Xander yells at Buffy.

"Of course I don't have a problem with that, I just don't understand why you told Spike and not your actual friends!" Buffy responds confused.

"Because you guys are hard to talk to! Spike listens! He doesn't judge!"

"Doesn't judge? He judges us all the time!" Buffy laughs at Xander.

"Uh, guys. I'm right here.. stop talking about me like I'm not even here" Spike says confused.

"Okay, name on judgmental thing Spike has said to any of us!" Xander challenges Buffy.

"Uhh.. well. There was that one time! With the.." 

Xander smiles.

"Okay fine! You're right!" Buffy finishes.

Spike walks up to Buffy.

"Just bloody get out. I'll make sure this git doesn't have a breakdown" Spike whispers to Buffy.

"Fine.." Buffy responds.

Buffy turns around and walks out.

Spike closes the door after her.

"Spike, just.. kiss me"

Spike smiles and walks up to Xander.

He put his arms around him and kisses him.

As they end the kiss Xander smiles.

"Spike.." Xander cuts himself off.

"Yeah?"

"I love you.." Xander says to Spike with confidence.

Buffy is standing outside the crypt listening.

"What the hell.." Buffy says quietly to herself.
