The sunlight entered from the window, lighting the room in a early morning of June. The peace of the room was suddendly disturbed by a horrible sound. Victoria, groggily, extends her hand to take her cellphone to turn off her alarm, at least, that's what she thought. As she was going to touch the phone screen, she reads the name on it. It was Gabriella. She answers the call.
"Hello." Says Victoria with a sleepy voice.
"Hey, are you ready to go and get lunch?" says Gabriella from the other side of the phone call.
"What? But I'm in....." says as she takes away the blanket that was covering her. She looks at the surroundings and realized where she was "New York."
"Right. So, as I was saying,I'll pick you up in 30 minutes. In what hotel are you? " asked her black haired friend.
"Ugh, it's too early. I'm at InterContinental WTC." says Victoria as she looked to the hotel notepad that was resting on the night table.
"Okay, be ready. We'll go to have lunch and then go to the apartment and in the afternoon, we'll go to the airport."
"Why do we need to go to the airport?" Asks Victoria confused. "Because Sylve and Josh arrive at 6 p.m. "
Victoria opens her eyes widely. Now she was alert. "I can't wait to see her. I gotta go, I'm still in bed and as it seems, I need to get ready as soon as possible. Bye." Says as she hungs up and walks to the bathroom.
Thirty minutes later, Victoria was in the eleavator towards the hotel lobby. She looked at her reflection in the stainless steel walls. She was wearing a cream blouse with a navy blue skater skirt and blue flats. The doors of the elevator opened and she walked out of the hotel.
"Victoria over here." said Gabriella. She walks towards her and greets her. "Get into the car."
She looks at her friend and then to the black limo. "Are we going to go in this?" Gabriella nods. "Why?"
Gabriella chuckles as she pushes her friend into the limo and closes the door. "Because this is how I move around the city."
After fifteen minutes, they arrived to a small coffee shop. "So, what are you going to do?" asks Gabriella to Victoria.
"About what?" says as she bites her biscuit.
"About being here and about Hunter." Gabriella says directly.
"First, about being here, I'm just going to be here until tuesday (in 2 days). And about Hunter, I will just let the destiny decide."
"No, you cannot leave. You need to help me to plan the wedding as Sylvia."
"Gabriella, I can't stay, I have a job, in London. I need to go back."
"I've thought on that and that's why I told Joseph to talk with your boss and he agreed on you working in Joseph's firm for the next two months."
Victoria looks at her friend with a confused look "What? Why did you do that? You know that I loved my job in London." says annoyed.
Gabriella looks at Victoria sadly " I-I thought that you would like the idea. I just feel that we're falling appart. Sylve and you, went away and left me here. I just want to enjoy my less than two months as a single girl with my best friends, like the old times."
Victoria looks at her friend. "I'm sorry, I just want to leave because I don't want to see Hunter, but sooner or later it will happen so there's no point on worrying about that. And I also want to spend time with you and Sylve."
Gabrielle smiles widely at her "Great, so that's why Sylve, you and I are going to move back to our old appartment. We need to go back now to your hotel and go to the apartment to clean and arrange the things and get food, just like we used to when we moved in, 6 years ago. "
Victoria nods as Gabriella gets up from her chair and puts money on the table. "Wait, where are you going?" asks Victoria. "WE are going to go to your hotel to pick up your things now."
At noon, they were entering with one suitcase from Victoria and 20 boxes from Gabriella, the old but pretty comfy apartment. It had a kitchen, a living room and three bedrooms. It wasn't luxurious, it was simple but femenine with white and pastel colors around it.
"This apartment makes me go back in time, I feel like we were still in college." Says Victoria.
"I know. These walls have seen us cry and laugh lots of times." Says Gabrielle with a nolstagic look on her face.
"Yes, well, let's start cleaning, we need to get it ready before 4 p.m. so we can go to the airport, so when Sylve arrives, she sees it organized."
After 4 hours of deep cleaning, Victoria was on the bathroom, brushing her wet hair from the shower she had just had and Gabrielle was screaming outside the door. "Victoria, the limo is here, let's go to the airport. We can eat some McDonald's in our way."
Victoria opens the door and Gabrielle closes it. They both run to the elevator and then they both get into the car.
"I can't wait to see her." says Gabriella exitedly.
"Me neither." says Victoria smiling as she sees a picture of her phone. It was the first picture of the three of them the day they moved in.
