chapter 5

Bree pov

I wacked my hand over the object that was the scource of waking me up. I dragged my body into a sitting position, while wiping my eyes. I scanned the room, realizing where I was, I fell onto my back sinking back into the mattress. This is going to be a long day.
I burrowed my eyebrows and looked down on either side of myself. Relizing I wasn't in my capsule.

"A bed? I like it!." I mumbled to myself bouncing my body up and down. I finally swung my legs over again and stood up.
I looked at the tim. I still had 1 hour until school. Wow that's plenty of time. I usually only need 5 minutes. That still gives me plenty of time to get ready so I can leave early to meet chase. I took a quick couple steps forward ready to use my super speed when nothing happened. I dropped my head. Right I don't have my speed. I guess I better get ready like a normal person. This is going to take forever.

Chase pov ( from the new world)

I look down at my watch wondering where bree is. She told me she wanted to tell me something. I hope it's an answer to why she was acting so weird yesterday. I felt like she was hiding something. Just as I rested my head back against the tree I heard someone call my name.

"Chase" bree called rushing over to me.
"Sorry I'm late, it's been a long morning."

"No worries. So what did you want to tell me so badly that we needed to get here early.... or well, I got here early for." I said pushing my body off the tree.

"Sorry" Bree apologized.

"OK well um." Bree started. Just as bree opened her mouth to continue, the school bell rang.

"actually, just meet me after school. I'm going to need you to trust me, cause I need your help" She pleaded.

All i could think about during class was what bree wanted to tell me and why she was acting so strangely yesterday. I felt something hit my shoulder. I looked back to see Adam a couple seats back pointing to a paper ball by the leg of my chair. I rolled my eyes as i unraveled the paper. Hearing the crinkle noise evertime i adjusted my hands on the white surface.

'Dude when are you finally gonna tell her how you feel'

I quietly took my phone out of my pocket and held it under my desk so the teacher wouldn't see.

Chase - 'Ill tell her when i tell her. Why you always have to bring this up.'

Adam - 'because you keep saying you will and you still haven't.'

Chase - ' I will. When the time is right. Plus she was acting strange yesterday. I want to make sure everything is ok first.'

Adam - 'fine but you better tell her soon, before its too late and you miss your chance.'

I slipped my phone back in my pocket. I know Adam's right. I've had a crush on bree for the past few years. I just can't ever bring myself to tell her. What if she doesn't like me back. Im just worried that it could make things awkward between us. I don't want that. We have been friends for so long. Ive been friend zoned, and its not easy coming back from that!
