Armani POV
See the difference between me and my sister is I speak my mind, can't and won't hold my tongue. A curse and a blessing as my mama says.

"Ok, Ma stop playing, who is he for real and I know he didn't make you cry cause me and Alana will beat his ass."
I said seriously as I stared at this man

"Mani, baby I wouldn't even play with
you and your sister like this, this is your father"she said before she buried her head into her hands and began sobbing

"Ma you said he was dead, he died when we were born right so explain."Alana finally decided to open her mouth

"Let me explain"James said as he walked towards me and my sister who were now standing by the door.

"No, I wanna hear it from my mother how do we even know your our father?"I questioned him rolling my eyes
Lana rambled through her Michael Kors handbag and pulled out a photo of my Ma and father both holding me and Her when we were born. I looked at the photo before looking back at James and he aged but nevertheless the man in the photo was him.

"So what was the lying for, I grew up my whole life thinking I didn't have a father and now I'm damn near grown and y'all wanna do some shit like this really?" Lana said as she threw the picture at James.

"Alana I don't care what I did you gone watch your mouth in here girl." Ma said as she got herself together and stopped crying. "Now everybody go into the front room and have a seat and we gone talk this out."

Me and Alana took a seat on the sectional and my ma and James sat on the couch across from us.

"Now girls, this may be hard to understand we were young when we had you and our best interest was always for our little girls to be safe." Ma began as she played with her hands signaling she was nervous.

"Joyce, I got it." James cut in and continued the explanation. "So as your mother said our best interest was your safety and at the time I was 20 Joyce was 18 and I was just really getting into the drug game after my father passed. Me being the son of a large kingpin people were at my head before I could even take my fathers spot and Joyce was 7 months pregnant with you two. We decided when you all were born it would be best to keep a safe distance because people were trying to hit me where it hurts which means they would come for y'all and your Mama." James told us and I looked at My twin seeing what she was thinking I was good at reading her and vice versa.

"So you couldn't at least come around you just left us I mean it's understandable but to NEVER come around nah." Alana said as she folded her arms

James sighed,"I provided your mother with all the money she needed for y'all to have everything you could want or need and when you all were little girls I came around a lot, I've been to the pen for a couple years and people were still on me and trying to get to y'all so I had to stay away to make sure y'all was good try to understand girls because I really wanna make this right."

"Uh huh, no we not about to play happy family I mean it's a cute story thanks for providing us with money cause I do love money but the rest of this is straight b.s. If you really wanted to be there you would have." I said as I gathered my things and went to my room.
Joyce POV
Both Armani and Alana were extremely stubborn and hated being lied to. I guess they got that from me, I know this situation is hard for them to understand considering they've been lied to for their whole life. One thing I hate is for my girls to be upset with me so I'm going to give them time.

"Joyce, I didn't mean to cause any trouble baby" James said to me as I washed the dishes

"James you knew exactly what you were doing and the intentions you had when you did this shit you have a bigger motive you don't just wanna be around my daughters so what's really up?" I asked him it was always something with James, we had an agreement and I expected him to stick to it.

He scratched the back of his neck before talking,"See Joyce I need someone to take over the drug organization because I have to leave the states for awhile in the next 6 months and I was thinking my daughters were best for the job."

"Hell no James, this is exactly what I've been keeping my babies away from for 17 years and you think they're going to run your drug empire because you were too sloppy? Let me tell you this and I'm only going to say it once" I stopped what I was doing and got into James face, "Unless you intend on actually pursuing a real father daughter relationship with my girls, stay away from them. I will not deal with your shit." I told him sternly with my finger in his face.

"I really do want a family  again Joyce, but you know I have to pass the business down." James said as I lowered my hand and continued cleaning my kitchen

"Whatever, don't feed me these lies to get what you want. Get out. If the girls want to talk I'll gladly give them your number." I smirked at him because I know my girls wouldn't want to hear his shit.

James just looked at me before grabbing his things and heading out. I can tell now he's going to make this harder than it has to be.
