Tough Decisions

All I Need and More

Lauren's P.O.V.

We strolled through the airport, grabbing our luggage, and following Niall to a cab service. A black mini-tour bus looking van pulled up and Niall smiled. "I hope you don't mind, I got this so we can all sit comfortably and so we have enough room for luggage." My dad looked shocked at first then nodded approvingly. "You know, Niall, you don't need to spend your money and get big things to win us over, we're just a simple family." my dad said. Niall smiled, "I promise, I got it for free, my mum is good friends with the owner, no big deal at all." My dad seemed to accept this and gave our luggage to the driver.

"You're very sly, you know that." I said to Niall. He just smiled at me and pecked my cheek. Oh, this boy. We got in and Niall told the driver where to go. We began driving and my mum decided now was the time to interrogate him. Shit.

"So Niall, where exactly did you grow up?" she asked. "West Meath, Mullingar." I told my mum matter-of-factly. She looked at me shocked. "Mum, I told you this before, and that's when I said we had to go there, because we have some relatives that were originally there. Mary Malone, remember?" I told her. She nodded remembering my Immigration project I had to do. "Mr. Nestorik said our families could be very good friends." I added. Niall smiled and looked at my mother, "She's really smart you know." he said to her. I smiled and cuddled closer to him so he put his arm around me. 

We sat there for a while in silence, so I put in my ear buds and started listening to Ed Sheeran. Without knowing it, I was singing-along and Niall took out one of my ear buds and placed it in his ear and began harmonizing with me. I smiled and it was as if we were the only people on the bus. "Don't you remember when it was like that , Pat?" my mum broke the silence. For once, they were smiling and were genuinely happy.

I looked up at Niall and he quick pecked my lips, I flush crimson and look at my parents who are looking out at the scenery and my brother who is checking his phone. I thought about what would happen when I am separated from my family for months, but I'll be with Niall. He's all I need and more.
