I woke up on a hospital bed. They must've taken me to a facility.

I looked around and saw a high-tech machine that had a tube plugged into my wrist. Like I was prepped for some kind of surgery.

"Hello" said a doctor walking into the operating room.

"Hello sir." I said respectfully. "With all do respect sir, what's going on?" I asked very calmly.

"We noticed your thoughts going rogue. Drifting to your past. We can't have that." He said. "We're going to add a booster to your chip and make sure that doesn't happen again."

They found out. But how? I wondered if they had gotten Mike or Ava. I really hopped not.

"Well lets get to work" he said ushering a few nurses into the room.

I was frightened and I started pulling up on my arm restraints.

"Hmm." One of the nurses said thoughtfully "he's a feisty one..." I instantly had a flashback to my past.

At last. A clear memory. Before I became Peaceful. I was in a forest. I smelled the ocean. Sarah was next to me and knocked out. Two men were in front of me and I had just been hit with a sedative but I wasn't going unconscious. A man spoke similar words.

All at once my whole memory came flooding back.

I screamed. My eyes shifting and becoming clear. I could tell the doctors were surprised but they cod definitely tell what had just happened. They were rushing around amidst my screaming and I realized that the nano chip takes away much more of your memory than you think.

One of the nurses quickly used her Winkdesck to call someone up.

"Director? Yes we have a Code White in operating room 209." She said. Obviously talking to the Director of our city.

He must have said something back because the lady said,

"Ok." And joined the chaos as they tried to gather sedatives and operating materials. They really should be more prepared.

Almost immediately the Director burst in.

"Nick" he said coming over. "I'm the Director. There's nothing to be afraid of the nano chip is good for you. Just relax."

"Relax? Good for me? Nothing to be afraid of?" I yelled. "I want to leave! Let me out right-"

The Director lunged and sedated me with a finger prick. My adrenaline was pumping so hard that the substance took a good 30 seconds to kick into my system and right as I succumbed to the darkness the director said,

"Don't worry. Be happy." And he walked out.
