We arrived at home, just me and dad and I was tired but it was only 4:45pm! I decided to go up to my room.

When I arrived up stairs I decided to put on my pj's. Once I had completed this task I decided to go back down stairs to be with my dad, just to see how he was.

I walked into the garden, which was where he was. He was hanging clothes on the washing line because they where wet. He noticed my presence and hugged me.
"are you alright darling?" He asked me for what seemed like the 100th time today.
"Yep, I'm cool"
"Good, good" he said. "Emma, I need to go to the shop from down the road to get something for dinner, will you be alright on your own for awhile?" He said, patiently waiting for my answer.
"Yes of course I will be, when are you going?"
"Right now" he said walking into the house and putting his coat on.
"I love you and see ya in a minute" he said kissing my head and hugging me.
"Love you too" I said just before he shut the door behind him.

I went back upstairs and turned the telly on. I took a note of the time, the clock read '5:15pm'. I felt my eyes getting droopy, and I slowly drifted off the sleep.

I woke up to the sound of the door, like a gentle but almost ear piercing tap. In a sleepy daze I checked my phone, it read '7:30pm', had I really been asleep for that long! I noticed that there where a few miss calls on my phone but from an unknown source, I decided to leave my phone and go down stairs to answer the door.

As I walked down the steep staircase I thought to myself 'dad should be back home by now, it's been almost 3 hours since he had left'. I reached the bottom, but I saw no figure of a person through the door, which I thought was odd. However there was a letter, addressed to me.

I walked over to it and picked it up, I turned it over and unsealed the envelope. I took out a letter but instead of writing on it, there was cut outs of letters from magazines spelling out words. The letter read;
'To Emma,
I know who killed you mother, it is the same person who had killed your dad
~anominous~'

I felt in shock, who the hell would do such a thing! My dad isn't dead! Then I remembered all of the missed calls on my phone. I quickly ran upstairs, holding the letter tight within my grasp. I ran from one side of the room to the other, dropping the letter and grabbing my phone. Clicked on the number and called it, no answer. I did it again and got the same response. I started panicking until I saw the number was calling me back.
