Chapter 1

*Harry's POV*

We were waiting to play at Birmingham for our memory lane tour gig. It was only a small venue but we love playing there even so. The Vamps were on at the moment, so we had a bit of time to chill our before they went on. Dougie had just gone to the bathroom when I went over to Tom.  

Tom knew that I fancied Dougie a lot, but he also knew Dougie was in love with Lara.

"Tom, I cant hold it in much longer. Its killing me, not having him in my arms."

"I know mate, but he loves Lara now. The fling you had after Frankie was just a fling. Nothing more. Sorry mate."

"I know, I just wish it had been more. Is he not noticing my hints? I mean, I broke up with Izzy for starters and don't get me wrong I feel terrible but I want Dougie."

"Yeah, he said it was strange that you broke up with Izzy, he thought you were great together. Look he's coming back, talk to him Harry."

Then Tom raised his voice and said "So, you gonna come in on the chorus?"

"Er- oh yeah, sounds good. You okay, Doug?"

Dougie looked up from his phone, he'd been texting Lara.

"What? Oh, yeah, I'm fine, you?"

Tom interrupted "Sorry guys, Gi's calling, I'll be back in a minute."

"Oh ok" I said, suddenly feeling nervous.

"So are you okay Harry, you never answered?" Dougie said.

"Yeah, of course I am. You excited about the gig?" I said, keeping well away from the subject I needed to be on.

"Yeah, of course! Small venue, but they get into it more right? I'm gonna be so tired after though, I can tell."

I nodded in agreement but my mind was on other things.

"You okay, bro?"

"Yeah yeah, just got a lot on my mind, I need to tell someone something, but I don't know how they'll react, you know?"

"Yeah, well you won't find out by not telling them. Is it to do with Izzy?"

"Sort of, but nevermind. The Vamps are sounding good tonight, aren't they?" I said quickly, changing the subject again.

Dougie has sussed something was up, but he could tell I didn't want to talk to him about it.

"Yeah, they sound brill. Listen mate, I'm here if you need to talk, no matter what it is you've got on your mind, I'm here." Dougie leant in and gave me a meaningful hug. It felt great, but I didn't show it.

"Thanks Doug."

Tom came back over, but didn't say anything until he got the signal from my sad eyes. He realised I hadn't told Dougie and sighed in disappointment.
