Love Is Easy-A Pudd Fanfic(McFly)

Chapter 7

-A few months later-

*Tom's POV*

Danny had just announced that he was getting engaged and me, Doug and Harry were planning an engagement party for him. We wanted it to be good, and we invited a fair amount of people. On the day,  we told Gi to "take Georgia out for the day" and we would look after Danny.

The party was going brilliantly, everyone was having a good time, and Danny and Georgia were loving it. We didn't think anything could go wrong, and nothing necessarily did, but it made us realise you can't trust anyone. At one point in the night, Dougie and Harry kissed, which us lot were used to but some of the guests weren't and even Gi and Georgia were a bit shocked. Harry and Dougie didn't know what to do or say.

 "You alright guys?" I asked.

"Fine." Dougie mumbled before leaving. Shit. He can't leave, he's one of the main men. I can't leave as well?

After what felt like hours of awkward silence, Harry grabbed his jacket and followed Dougie. I decided to break the silence. I guess there's no hiding it now. 

"Everyone, sorry, excuse me." I tried to get their attention but they had all broken off into their own conversations, making up excuses for the kiss.

"OI GUYS" Danny yelled in his strong Bolton accent.

Everyone was silent once again. I grabbed a microphone and stood on a chair, so I could see everyone. 

"Hi, sorry, it's just, well, you probably noticed that little um...kiss that Dougie and Harry shared. No, they're not drunk, no, it wasn't a dare, it was a kiss. Like the sort, you'd give your partners. I hope you all accept that, because that's the way it is. If you don't like it, just leave."

I looked around and everyone stayed put.

"Great, well I'm sorry it came out like that, thanks guys." No one said anything.

I decided to go and find the boys, because I didn't want them to be upset for being in love, that wasn't fair on them.

They hadn't gone far, Harry was holding Dougie who was leaning into his chest. I felt like a third wheel but I approached them even so.

"Look guys, I hope you don't mind, we told everyone about you, just so they would understand. Everyone is fine with it. No one's judging you, will you come back in?"

"No one?" Dougie pulled away from the hug, looking relieved.

"No one." I gave him a reassuring smile.

He gave a small smile to me, then looked up to Harry. 

"Shall we go in?"

"Let's do it" 

"Great, well take your time guys, see you in a minute." I smiled at them both, and  went back in. 

As I walked in, people bombarded me with questions: "Is that why Harry broke up with Izzy?" "What happens if they break up?" "How long has this been going on for?"

"Guys please, enough with the questions, ask them."

As if on cue, they walked in, holding hands and came straight over to our table, not looking at anyone, and sat down.

"You guys alright?" Danny asked.

"Yeah, thanks Dan." Harry answered, not wanting to be the centre of attention, which unfortunately was inevitable.

We turned the music on, and everyone forgot about the little Pudd moment. The couple decided to leave just before the end, to avoid as many people as possible. 

-The next day-

*Harry's POV-

"HARRY, FUCKING HELL." Dougie yelled, awakening me abruptly.

"Jesus, Doug, what's wrong?"

"IT'S IN THE FUCKING NEWS"

I shot up. It can't be in the news, it just can't.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" I asked, in disbelief.

"LOOK AT THIS" he shoved a newspaper in my face.

The Sun. Everyone reads this. Everyone will know. I'm not ready for that.

I looked past the title of the newspaper, and read what they had to say.

"Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter, have proven that commonly used ship name "Pudd" is real.

Strictly Come Dancing winner and member of McFly, Harry Judd, was seen leaving a party with Dougie Poynter, fellow member of McFly and I'm a Celeb winner. Earlier that night, at around 11pm on Saturday evening, Dougie and come out of the venue, with Harry close behind them. They were seen talking and then shared a kiss and a hug. Soon after, bandmate Tom Fletcher came out, and talked with the couple, then persuading them back in. At approxiametly 12am, early on Sunday morning, the couple left the party venue and got into a car, driving off. 

A close friend of the band told us, "We had no idea, until that night, when they kissed in front of everyone. We're all very happy for them."

The couple have been previously "shipped" by their fanbase, meaning people have wanted them to become a couple. Not everyone is happy about the relationship though. On twitter, someone said "Everyone shut up about "Pudd". Harry and Dougie are in a relationship? That is so wrong."

I was fuming, and I could tell Dougie was too, even more than me. I was glad they'd got the facts right at least, but it's still not right to release something like this, without asking our permission.

We couldn't  do anything about it now anyway, it was out there. I looked to Dougie. 

"What are we gonna do then?"

"I don't know Harry, I honestly don't know." He said, looking sad.

"Shall I put out a tweet?"

"Yeah, I suppose. But what are you gonna say? The truth or a lie?"

"Well I don't want to lie but if we say it's true, there'll be interviews, rumours, things like that. Do you want that?"

"No."

I logged into my twitter and immediately I saw Pudd was trending. I decided to have a look at what people had to say about it.

I totally support it. Pudd forever.

Good.

Everyone shut up about "Pudd".Harry and Dougie are in a relationship? That is so wrong. 

The one from the newspaper. Bad.

I TOTALLU HSUOP PUDD OMFGANC SJJSASCGJSK

I couldn't make it out, but I guess it was good.

I'm not really a fan of homosexuals, but Pudd is an exception.

Good, I guess.

 I saw that most were good and me and Dougie decided to tell the truth.

I tweeted - Hey guys, you've probably all seen the news, and we won't lie, it is true. I hope you can accept that, and thank you for all your support so far. xx

Instantly tweets flooded on full of congratulations and we thought the best way to celebrate was to watch a movie. I was happy, so was Dougie and that's all that mattered.
