Sarah's POV
Today's the first day of high school and I have to admit that I'm pretty nervous.I'm currently in the car with my dad (and no it's not Francis) driving to Wellington High School and trying to beat the morning traffic in the area.I'm kind of glad I'll have one friend there and her name is Karla Fuentes; her first choice for a high school was Suncoast but she didn't get in so she came to her second choice.We pulled into the school parking lot and I was mentally preparing myself for what today were to bring. My dad put the car in park and turned to me,"WOW! It's my girl's first day in high school; good luck out there kiddo and don't lose your phone!  Love you bye." I laughed at my dad's enthusiasm and hugged him before I got out.When I trudged to the entrance I felt my phone vibrate and I stopped walking to check it; because, we all know walking and texting is dangerous just like driving and texting.

I continued walking in search of Karla and there she was wearing her signature black jeans and one of the many denim jackets she received while we were in middle school."Karlughhhhhh!" I shouted when I saw her. "Oh hey there Sarah!" We shared a quick hug considering I saw her a few days ago and we walked into what would be our school for the next four years.

It was finally lunch time and I walked to the cafeteria with Karla,talking about our classes,she stopped walking and nudged me a bit too hard causing me to hit the pole I was standing next to."OUCH! What was that for!?!?!" I asked slightly annoyed,rubbing my arm."Oh sorry...but OMG SARAH I JUST SAW JUAN WALKING INTO THE CAFETERIA!!!" When she mentioned Juan I immediately froze up and memories from middle school flooded up my mind.

I sat in the pet shop with Juan since Tess and Karla locked me in here with him thinking it was really clever for them to do so.Mr.Friedman left us with a substitute who didn't seem to care what we did and those two took advantage of situation and left me in this position I was currently in."Ummmmm Sarah what's happening?" Juan asked slightly confused which I found really cute, "Uhh I don't even know,you should ask TESS AND KARLA!" I answered,raising my voice enough for them to hear me through the doors I desperately wanted to open.You could see them looking back and forth between me and Juan while they cocked their eyebrows in a flirtatious way; I really wanted to hurt them for putting me in this quagmire.I heard my phone vibrate and when I saw who it was I rolled my eyes.

I checked the time and saw that we had an hour until the bell.Oh God kill me now."Wowza you seem pretty pissed.I think it's cute." Wowowowow he think I'm cute when I'm mad,oh god I could feel my cheeks getting hot,"Umm I think it's pretty cute too hahaha." I mentally slapped myself for that response; nice one Sarah."Uh-um I mean,yeah." I quickly tried to save myself from what I said a few seconds ago and all he did was smile at me with that perfect smile I enjoyed.

"Sarah? Are you okay,you liked blacked out for a second?" Karla asked with a worried tone in her voice."Oh yeah yeah I'm fine." I really wasn't fine.We continued walking and I felt anxious at the thought of seeing Juan when I thought I'd never see him so soon."JUAN I MISSED YOU DUDE!" Karla squealed as she hugged him tightly like a koala. "Hey Sarah you look pretty today," Juan said giving a cheeky smile that caused a lot of emphasis on his dimples.I felt my body temperature rise when he said that and I also felt his eyes eyes burning into my skull as he gave a welcoming smile to both Karla and I.Oh God please kill me now!
