"you can tell a man by his ankles." louis looked up to the sky.

once i greeted louis at the house, he jumped up and cried. he was so happy i remembered him. we went into the woods he ran into last night and he showed me a small pond. i saw a small heart shaped rock and put it in my pocket.

louis and i went into the pond, but i left as soon as i saw a butterfly knife. i went to my pants and put them on, but i couldn't feel the rock anymore. it started getting dark, so louis and i went to the house and he gave me a piece of strawberry cake and a water bottle.

now, we're sitting on the roof and looking at the stars.

"is that why you drew that heart?" i asked.

"it wasn't a heart at first, it was a triangle. but your leg twitched and so i made it into a heart." he smiled and laughed.

"your laugh is pretty." i complimented.

he blushed. "thank you."

we sat there in a comfortable silence before i heard someone calling my name. me and louis hopped down before louis ran into the woods. he told me that that meant he wasn't coming back until the morning.

i walked home and smelled pizza. but something else scared me. there were 3 men sitting on my couch. and on the other couch was my mother.

"hello harry. come, come. we have things we want to ask." one of them said.

i hesitantly stood to the side. one of them stood up and tried to shake my hand. i ignored him. i stared at all three of them, wanting to leave.

"so, harry, we've met before. i'm doctor payne. nice to meet you again." he smiled, but i didn't think it was real.

"i'm doctor horan. " the one who tried to shake my hand narrowed his eyes at me.

"and i'm doctor malik. we're just here to talk to your mother. everything's fine. will you be accompanying us?" he had dark hair.

i shook my head 'no' and left to eat. i grabbed some pepperoni pizza and went upstairs. i sat there and  just thought about how i wanted to run away with louis one day. we could live together and forget about everything. it just felt right to be with him.

mum came upstairs and sat on my bed. "what's wrong harry?"

"nothing, you were just sitting with those men and i didn't want to bother you." i stared at the ceiling.

"men? har-bear it was only doctor payne down there." i looked at her.

"no, there were two more. doctor horan and malik. horan has blonde hair and malik has black." she shook her head.

"harry, you're making this up again. it's time to take your medicine anyways." she gave me two pills and i swallowed them.

then i fell asleep.

when i saw louis again, he was crying. he was sitting on the floor as usual, but he was crying into his hands. i walked a little closer and noticed he had a scratch on him. i tried tapping his shoulder, but he moved away.

"lou, what's wrong?" he looked up.

he stopped crying. "i thought you went away with that man again."

"again?" he shook his head.

"don't worry about it. you're here and you're okay. that's all that matters." he smiled. "i have somewhere i want to show you."

he got up and led me to the woods. it was further than the pond and i was afraid we we're going to get lost. but louis smiled and kept walking, so i did too. we climbed up the hill and stopped a few feet away from a cliff.

"don't go too far, but look down." i did as he said and saw a pretty waterfall below us.

"let's swim inside of it." i said, excitedly.

we walked down a narrow walk, careful not to fall. he took off his clothes and i did the same. we jumped into the water. louis splashed me with water and i splashed him, laughing. he taught me how to swim and race me to the other side.

"i win harry berry." he shouted, jumping into the water.

"no way, you cheated." i laughed, getting soaked.

"hey i have a joke. knock knock."

"who's there?"

"love."

"love who?"

"i love you too harry." louis was in front of me, smiling.

i laughed at how close he was to me. he started doing a weird dance and i laughed even harder. then i choked on my laugh. louis stopped dancing and stared at me. he looked up into the sky and saw the stars.

"we should get back before you turn into an old, wrinkly prune." louis smiled.

we got out and put on our clothes. we walked up the hill carefully  before we sat at the top again.

"i'll race you back." i smirked.

"okay, but then i'll have to go." louis counted down before he took off running.

i followed him, not seeming to get any closer to him. in the end, he beat me and laughed at how slow i was running. and although he was insulting me, i knew it was friendly and i laughed with him.

"see you harry." he said waving to me.

"see you tomorrow lou bear." i waved back.

i walked inside of my house and saw mum sitting on the couch, eating. i looked at the stove and saw some food already made. i put some in a bowl and microwaved it. when it was finished, i began walking upstairs.

"wait harry." mum called after me.

"yes?" i asked.

"where did you go?" she got up and walked over to me.

"to the pond. i took a swim and come back." i half lied. louis told me to never mention him or mum and doctor payne will send me away.

"well, you can't go anymore." my mouth dropped.

"why not?" i asked.

"because harry, i don't know where you go." she said calmly.

"to the pond. i just told you that." i almost yelled.

mum let go of me. "don't yell harry. you know i hate it when you do that."

"'m sorry. i won't leave anymore." i sighed.

she nodded and hugged me. i put my food back not feeling hungry anymore and headed everyone upstairs. while in my room, i plotted how i was going to run away with louis the next day.
