Delilah's P.o.v
"Ughh, why can't I just stay here with Stacy and her mom" I whine to my mom.
"Delilah honey you know why you can't stay now stop asking me and go pack your bags" she said.
"Fine" I huff
I walk upstairs to my room and start packing more of my belongings as I was told to do. Moving really sucks when you have leave the place you love so much and your friends. Since my stupid ass father had to go and cheat on my mother with this younger girl my mom can't stand to live in Chicago any longer because she says its to much vivid memories of what happened. That night was the worst night of all the nights not only did my father cheat on my mom he came home drunk and he hit her because she was yelling at him and he slapped me and my little sister Rose for trying to stop the altercation between him and my mom, later that night he apologized for hitting us and my mom made him sleep on the couch and told him that we were moving.
~ Flashback ~
"Stop it daddy that hurts me" I heard Rose say. I wonder what's going on in Rose's room and why is my dad in there at midnight waking her up, I tiptoe to the room door and crack a little bit so that I can see what's going on in there. I was so hurt ,sad, angry and shocked at what I'm seeing right now my dad was hovering over Rose with his pants and his boxers off. Tears rolled down my eyes he was raping my little sister while she was crying and begging him to stop, I bust in the room and ran towards him and pushed him off of her. My mom came running in the room right after that and I told her what I saw. She walked to my dad and slapped him in the face with all her might.
"HOW COULD YOU PUT YOUR FILTHY HANDS ON MY DAUGHTER "she yelled.
"Mom I'm calling the cops right now to get this sun of a bitch out of here" I said with anger.
"NO, he just needs to leave or I will cut his penis off" my mom said with her angered filled voice.
My dad got up and ran out of the house so fast.
"Omg, Rose are you ok?" I ask walking over to her trembling body
She didn't say anything she just hugged me until she fell asleep in my arms.
~ Flashback Over ~
That was the worst night ever. I still can't believe my mom didn't call the cops on him, I was angry with after that happened but she told me why she couldn't do that's and I understood better when she tip me why she couldn't call the cops, she said it was because he would win and he could take everything.
I finished packing my things up and now I have to wait for the moving truck to come so I can load up my stuff. I go next door to my sisters room to see if she finished packing her things up.
"Rose are you ok" I asked.
"Yea I'm just thinking about what happens the other night with dad, I just don't understand why he would do that to me" she said.
"I know, but Rose you have to understand that what he did was wrong and he needed to leave so he wouldn't harass you in anyway" I say.
"I know that Delilah it's just hurts to know that he would do that to me" she said crying.
After I finished helping my sister packing I went into my mom's room to see if she finished but instead she was just sitting there going through old pictures of me an Rose when we were little.
"Ah, the good old times we use to have in this house" I say.
"Yea I'm really going to miss this place, we had some much fun times and bad but we pulled through but now it's time to let things go and start fresh in Canada" she says.
"Well I'm going to spend some more time with Stacy until we have to leave" I say.
"Ok sweetie just be back to pack your stuff" she says as I walk out.
Stacy and I have been friends since the 3rd grade. She is the only person that was there when i feel and got a scraped knee. I walk down to her house and knock on the door.
"I'm coming hold your damn horses" she yells
The door swings open and I walk in and sit on her couch.
"Alright what's wrong with you?" She asked.
I huff and just say it "mysistergotrapedbymydad" I say really fast.
"Gosh girl say that again this time and I mean slowly enough to wear I can hear you correctly".
"I said my sister got raped by my dad" I say and then I just start crying so hard.
"Omg I'm so sorry, how is she, is she ok?" she ask frantically .
" Yea she's good but I just can't believe he did that to a twelve year old girl who has been bullied almost all her life and cuts she doesn't think she belongs here on earth"I say sobbing.
Me and Stacy sit and talk for awhile longer until I have to leave. As i was walking back to my house I was thinking how Rose is going to feel about going somewhere new. I think she will make new friends and realize that she does belong on this earth. I walk up in my driveway and see two moving trucks.
"Oh honey your home that means you can go and get your stuff packed up in the moving truck"my says.
"Mom I think I know that now can you please calm down and relax" I say.
Before she could say anything back I walk up the stairs to my room to get some stuff out of it to put it in the truck. As I was walking I bumped into someone and feel flat on my butt.
"I'm so sorry, are you ok?" a manly voice says.
"Yea I'm good thanks for asking" I say.
"Well you must be Delilah, damn your mom sure didn't describe as sexy as hell" he says.
I roll my eyes I hate when guys do that its like they have no respect for girls like me.
"Well here I am now who are" I say with a little sassiness in my voice.
"Damn shawty you ain't gotta say it like that but I'm Za" he says.
"Mr. Za are you going to help move my stuff or are you just going to stand there fantasizing about me" I asked.
"I rather stand her and fantasize about you little shawty, quick question how old are?" he asked
"I'm 16 years old and no you can't get this right, now how old are Mr.Za " I say.
"Well little shawty I'm 20 years old but I'm too old for you anyway.And if I was around your age I would totally hit that as-"
"I see you two meet" my mom said coming up the stairs.
"Yes Mrs. Jones I meet your beautiful daughter" he says with a smirk.
"Well that's good so you already meet everyone now it's time for us to keep packing not chit-chatting" she said.
~ skip packing ~
"Thank god we are finished now we can sit down and start stuffing our faces" Rose said.
We sit down on the floor with a blanket because our dinner table was packed so we just decided to order pizza for all of us. My mom asked Za and his Dad to stay and they gladly said yes. When the pizza arrived we dug right in and start eating in silence. After we finished we start packing the blankets up in the car so we can go hit the road. We've been driving for 4 hours and we only have 4 more hours left so I decided to go to sleep.
