We sat there in silence so thick that you could cut it with a knife, but the news still couldn't sink in.

"She's... dead?" I squeaked so quietly. Sean just sat there with his head in his hands.

"Can we hold her, please?"

"Of course you can." She handed over little Abby.

She was much, much smaller than the others. She was so pale, so frail, I just wanted to hug her untill I passed out. She didn't have a chance to see anything before she went. Tears fell out of my eyes and on to her tiny face, her eyes were tight shut. I wiped the drops of water off with my thumb and stroked her face. I felt a small movement. Barley big enough to be noticed and her tiny nostrils flared slightly. I stoped crying and nudged Sean. He still had his head in his hands. He looked up, his eyes were puffy and red. He saw her tiny ribcage rising and falling. "Errrmmm.. Nurse?!" Sean shouted disparately.

"Yes?" She asked while coming into our part of the ward.

"Abby is alive!" Everyone except the nurse started to cry but even she looked teary. All five of us cuddled for a while before the doctor discharged us and we went home for the first time as a family.

A/N-Sorry if this is a short chapter. I have been slightly ill and I have passed out a few times but I am feeling better so don't worry, I am going to finish the story BEFORE I die!!
